Stop destroying Rainforests!

Stop destroying Rainforests!

Target:
The Government
Sponsored by:
Covering less than 2 percent of the Earth's total surface area, the world's rainforests are home to 50 percent of the Earth's plants and animals.
Temperate rainforests used to exist on almost every continent in the world, but today only 50 percent of 75 million acres  of these forests remain worldwide.
So help us save these rainforests.
Once this has a 50,000 signatures I will send this to Obama!

Rainforests are essential for combatting global warming and for providing habitat for over half of the world's species, as well as many other functions that benefit humans. The rate of their destruction is alarming. Please do whatever is possible to influence corporation and others to stop the destruction.

Sustainable replanting with a view to creating Biochar would be an economic reason for increasing the size of the rainforests. Biochar is the low tech way of storing CO2.

Please stop cutting down all of the rainforest. Many animals live there and no where else. We must stop destroying their home.
