Ed Bertolas is harassing and falsely accusing individual rescuers on Facebook of being frauds. Bertolas is all over FB using spamming, making death threats, stalking and using phishing hacking maleware on animal activists. He claims to expose fraud however he cites no evidence, he goes by his "gut" and thinks if a person blocks him that is grounds for being listed in his smear campaign. Eventually he has sought to delegitimize nearly every person he has spoken to on facebook. He is making rescue work even harder for all of us as now and attempting to instill rampant distrust. He friends rescuers then spams and harrasses them. He makes very wild accusations about rescuers and is unable to back up his claims.

We had originally set the goal at 1,000 signatures, however because Ed Bertolas has alienated so many people we have reached that in only a few days. Then we reached 2,000 in just under two weeks. So to make sure that everyone can sign who needs to we have upped our goal to 3,000. We are using the outreach for the petition to educate people. We intend to keep it open until we reach 3,000 and on March 8, 2011 we will turn it in with no matter how many signatures we have acquired at that time.
