Every year advertisers spend millions of dollars to force their message into our lives in the form of Junk Mail. They use unsustainable discounting to lure buyers instead of consistent value to retain customers. Look at your local cable or phone companies for the best examples. I receive no less than three mailers per week advertising a service I already subscribe to. The rub, the price is a hundred dollars less than my contract price for new subscribers and I am not eligible for this introductory price. They spend hundreds of dollars annually to rub a price in my face that I can't get.
We want a do not mail list now. This needless waste of resources is an inefficient tactic involving unsustainable discounting of goods and services. Advertisers spend millions annually on advertising that winds up in the recycling bin or worse in landfills. It's absurd and we should have the right to opt out of this wasteful cycle.
