STOP LONGLINING IN MOZAMBIQUE

Target:
100000
Sponsored by:

Tofo is home to one of the highest recorded year-round populations of both the massive and curious whalesharks and the ethereally graceful manta rays, which are found here in abundance throughout the year, as well as a rich variety and abundance of other incredible sea life from sharks to shrimps to seamoths.  There are currently 10 longlining licences pending approval for fishermen based in Tofo.  The impact should this come to pass will be devastating and irreversible.  Please protest against this indiscriminate and artless method of fishing. Join our %u201Cstop longlining in Mozambique%u201D petition on facebook or mail us at tofoscuba@tdm.co.mz.

the beauty of it is that it is a natural habitat that all this marine life is thriving, we can feel proud and must ensure that it will not be spoilt or destroyd for greed! our children would like to enjoy what that place on earth offers!HOW SELFISH, IT MAKES MY BLOOD BOIL.

Please don't allow this to happen - the environmental and economic effects will be irreversible. Selling long-lining licenses to foreign fleets is selling Mozambicans out of jobs.

This is a worthy cause, please get your friends and family to sign! Another worthy cause :- The Venus Project is an Organisation that proposes a feasable plan of action for social change; one that works towards a peacful and sustainable global civilization. It outlines to strive toward where human rights are not only paper proclaimations but also a way of life. A world whe Mother Nature and Technology work together, not as two opposing forces. Where Resources and Science are choices over Profit and Power. Please look up the website http://www.thevenusproject.com/ and sign the petition. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/The-future-that-Humanity-Deserves
