STOP LYONS GA SHELTER FROM CONTINUING TO MASS MURDER

Here are a couple of the letter and information that this all pertains to we need to take action NOW:

On Thursday ,Jan. 20,2011  The Lyons Ga. Animal Shelter at the direction of Public Works Director Darel Corley, Euthanized 77 Dogs, some of which were scheduled for rescue the very next day   The conditions at this shelter are terrible ,with no facilities for cats. Here is the news story on it :

January 21-- The killing of 77 dogs Thursday at the Lyons Animal Shelter is drawing fire from the Sweet Onion Animal Protection Society (SOAPS).

On top of that, Public Works Director Daryl Corley says posting of the story on Facebook has resulted in complaints from as far away as Las Vegas.

Corley says the dogs were given lethal injections and buried after he had delayed any euthanasia since last July as he worked with SOAPS to get the dogs adopted.  He reports SOAPS saved 83 dogs from the shelter during that period, but he still had more dogs than the shelter could hold.

"I didn't have anywhere to put any dogs and Toombs County was calling that they didn't have anywhere to put dogs.  The only thing I could do was clear the pound out and start over because I was so overrun with dogs.  I tried to work this thing out and probably got myself in trouble by prolonging it so long. What I'm going to do from now on is at the end of every month, whatever dog they can place, they can place, and we'll go ahead and euthanize whatever's left and we'll go ahead and move to the next month," Corley said.

Therisa Ingley, the head of SOAPS, is shocked.  "Right now SOAPS is heartbroken that so many animals had to be euthanized.  We admit we don't have all the details, but we're concerned that so many were put down when some were scheduled for rescue the very next day.  We want to know the answer to that question.

"We're just here to do whatever we can to provide a better situation for the animals in Lyons.  We want to be here to be supportive to make sure that shelter is run appropriately and to help the city make that happen," Ingley says.

Meanwhile, SOAPS is filing a complaint with the Lyons Police Department regarding possible violations of city and state laws.

I am sure that Most of you remember the horrific Massacre that took Place on 1/20/2011 at Lyons Shelter in Lyons GA.  For those of you that do not please read this carefully and read each and every link attached to this note carefully and through the countless tears that you will shed you will see that there is a horrible story that needs to be revisited and actions that cannot afford to be over looked and unaccounted for any longer..

I have some info given to me within the last few days about some issues at LYONS SHELTER aka (DEATH HOLE)...

I have gathered some facts this morning including statements that have now been communicated to Higher levels than me and at this point  Members of  SOAPS and There higher levels of command have called for a meeting with Lyons city council to be called.

I got suspicious when a volunteer was sent to the Lyons shelter Monday A.M. to pull a dog for a rescue (DEXTER).  Dexter was not there.  Will said he did not remember the dog and there was no paperwork where Dexter or a dog that fit his description had been adopted.  So, no one knows what happened to Dexter????  Holly Reynolds with SOAPS had already found Dexter a rescue to go to and was having him picked up for his new life to start.  Only to learn that more than likely he is dead???  SOAPS determination has instantly gotten a hold of one Counsel member and they were not aware at all of any dogs being killed. They admitted that there is none that should be killed at all at this point. He has given his word to SOAPS that he will properly investigate this and find out how this is continuing to happen.  ** Now lets see if he really will do just that or if this is another case of slipping through the good old boy cracks.

Also, it seems as though some pups were put down on March 1st... this was caught by a person who adopted a pup- then went back to adopt another pup(s) from this group and they were told they had been put down. The witness says that the pups were fine and healthy.

Let me say that there was an agreement that was reached that was between SOAPS and Shelter Committee that was formed after the massacre of the entire shelter on 01/20/2011 and the agreement was stated that there would be no killing of animals until the two sides had working policies and procedures in place.  There was a clear understanding that SOAPS would continue and pull any and as many animals from this shelter as possible and as they wanted to.  This is obviously not what has happened and it is of great concern.  Clearly those at the shelter and over them do not have any regard for the law or the wheels of justice.  Nor do they enforce the law as it should be.

  Now today, Tyler would not allow us to pull DOC or BAMBI.  He was even called and asked if he would take to the vet and release them to the vet for a check up and he would not.  He said he has been told that pitts or pitt mixes cannot leave the shelter under any circumstance.

 However, SOAPS, were told by the city council that we could pull whatever we wanted including pitts and pitty mixes.

 We are trying to find out what is going on and get Doc and Bambi out of there....I will keep you updated, but Lyons shelter is continuing be difficult to deal with.

Also, FYI...the same state Dept. of Ag inspector went to the Vidalia shelter last week and wrote them up for all kinds of stuff including a "loose block on a pen"....this is the same inspector that checks Lyons and has never written them up for anything...he basically checks all is good and goes....there is definitely some kind of connection there. It is unreal of how Lyons shelter has gotten away with what they do for so long. And even now after meeting with Gary Black and provided him with statements and all kinds of info and proof....violations was clearly committed...he didn't take action either...enabling Tommy Sheffield (the state Dept. of Ag inspector) to do whatever he wants. 

Now I do not know about you but personally how can we just sit around and take no action at all and allow this to continue.  There was to be no killings done at Lyons until the rules and regulations were  worked out and until there was a clear procedure in place to do this in a humane proper way.

And more over who killed these dogs and pups? I am in my heart alone sure that with these pups Dexter was murdered as well.. And poor wonderful handsome starry eyed CLARK is Unaccounted for.. Could he be dead as well??

So what is Dexter%u2019s fate?  What is Clarks fate? Maybe the same as the litter of Pups??  and how many ever that we are not seeing that are being killed as they might come in or shortly thereafter.

There is no paper trail with them to follow No proper intake papers of what dogs come in and what dogs leave. And why?  It is clear why so that they can freely murder these animals in countless numbers and not be accountable to anyone for it. These are people that are sworn to uphold the law and protect and cause no harm that are no different than the pos that are out there abusing animals on the sidelines.

So why will they allow no pit or mix to leave there are many theories on this but none that are right or legal as we see it.

There are many dogs that have already died that were there. Litters of pups that were killed and pits and they are wanting to now do this to all of them, or something with all of the pit or pit mix since they claim they are not to leave there for anyone.. Now really why is this? The Lyons city counsel admitted that they made a mistake by putting down the dogs in the massacre of 01/20/2011. But are they really sorry.

Suddenly this changes? Right!

How did they kill these dogs?  There are no vets but one in the area and they did not do it!  The other vet that was a party to the mass murder on 01/20/2011 is not there.. So how did they kill them?  How did they end the lives of these litters of babies at Lyons?

If you have looked into these eyes these albums read these stories of horror cried with me and Holly and so many others over these lives lost then please do not allow this to continue please email or and write and stop this.

Send your letter to  GARY BLACK tell him we are not going to allow this anymore.  That we demand change.  We demand that this shelter be changed.  That we get rid of these POS in there and allow it to be run by the people such as SOAPS who can and will do all they can to save lives not end them before they start almost..

Please do not say you want to help DO IT.. Please make a change Immediately in this hell hole Please help me save these lives at this Horrible hell hole..  This shelter needs to be held accountable for their actions and we need to stop GETTING OVER IT.  We need to stop moving on to another story and stay and see this one through.  That is what they have banked on is that we would go away and roll over and play dead.. Hell no for they are the ones that did not play dead, they in fact dug a hole and loaded the animals into that hole and murdered them covering over their bodies and playing like all is okay.  It is not okay.

So what will you do read this and move on?  Or will you take the time to email and write and fax a letter to the GSA department and tell GARY CLARK you are not going away until this shelter is changed or closed!

There are countless articles on this mass horrible Hell hole.. Please do not sit on the side lines and say you want to help or ask what you can do to help.. Do something sign your name and do something list that you will not sit around and forget then do something call email fax and write GARY CLARK and demand to be heard demand they stop murdering these animals and that they remove those at that shelter immediately.. How can we justify doing nothing..  Sharing these lives is yes so important but so is Writing that letter and email and making that phone call followed by a letter email and or fax to say Look we are not forgetting and we are going to stop this horrible terrible way you run this shelter and the way you pick and chose what to kill when to kill it and how to kill it.. Demand more people demand the removal of these heartless people in this shelter and demand a real investigation into this and inspection into this and DEMAND that it not be done by TOMMY SHEFFIELD.. If it smells rotten then chances are it is Kyarn: {(Carrion) Dead flesh, such as roadkill. That smells like kyarn!} (those southern words)
