Ban The Orphan Works Bill

We the people of the State of Tennessee are writing to express our grave concern about The Orphan Works Act of 2008, as written in H.R.5889 and S.2913.

We claim the Orphan Works Bill to be invalid and intensely oppose this legislation. This will be devastating to businesses in our State and to thousands of small business owners around the country if enacted in its current form.

This issue is a violation of human rights to the people of the world and artist for three reasons:
Creative Control: NO ONE CAN CHANGE YOUR WORK; WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION.Ownership: NO ONE CAN USE YOUR WORK WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSIONValue: IN THE MARKET PLACE, YOUR ABILITY TO SEE EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS TO A CLIENT TRIPLES THE VALUE OF YOUR WORK.

Do not stand for this as a Resident of Tennessee and an Artist! Please back this petition; below is a website from which this information has come, read all information to get a full spectrum of what the Orphan Works Bill will do - and please sign this petition.

We the undersigned strongly Oppose the Orphan Works Bill passed by Congress on Friday 9/26/2008.

We the residents of the State of Tennessee ask the Orphan Works Bill be discredited and abolished from being overseen and passed by the United States Congress as an act/law of any kind.

No Public Bill, Private Bill, Hybrid Bill or Local bill will dismiss the rights of Tennessee artists and residents. We the people, residents and artists of the State of Tennessee banish all rights of the Orphan Works bill!!!

We the residents and artists of Tennessee unify in saying the Orphan Works shall never be re-tried, presented or put into action as an act/bill again to the United States of America.

The Orphan Works Bill undermines our rights as author's of our own art. Our creations are not the right of the public forum. Our works of art are individually ours, help us claim our rights back.

Thank you for taking the time to read Ban Orphan Works Bill.
