Stop population Growth

This is not about population enforcement but a personal communal choice to change the stress we as humans put on the environment and its creatures to sustain our survival.

What would be the equation for; a human per square meter for ecological sustainability to be possible?
 We would scream at the answer and the prospects of population growth. Yet there is this silence about the situation. Why?
Seems to me that with all our technology and intelligence; incredible that the problem to the world crisis is simple and yet almost unmentionable to solve.
The world is running on the basis that it is sustained by progress (Financial profit), and population growth at the cost of the environment and all that duels within.
At the current state our planets flora and fauna is becoming extinct. We cant get read of our rubbish fast enough, we cant produce food fast enough and we are building over precious environmental ecosystems. All because of our demand due to population growth. Our governments tell us we must keep population growth happening to sustain the economy; but if we dont stop growing in numbers there is no hope for humanity and the planet.

By becoming aware that if we have no more than 2 kids per couple we can stop the numbers growing, and if we wanted to help further we would keep it to one child per couple.
Each year, the global population swells by another 85 million people, but worldwide demand for freshwater increases at twice the rate of population growth, doubling every 20 years or so [sources: OECD, UNDP]. Throughout the world, our most vital resource is under stress from pollution, dam construction, wetland and riparian ecosystem destruction, and depletion of groundwater aquifers, with poor and marginalized populations getting the worst of it [sources: Gleick, Gold, OECD, UNDP, UNESCO-WWAP].
As we are at the moment... We are the viral cancer that is eating at the body the earth is. While we keep growing in numbers we will consume the body that sustains us and like cancer we will dye when we kill all that belongs here because of the explosion the population will create. We are a virus consuming and leaving burnt waste.
Of course this is a great problem for our governments as the financial structure would crash. This would be an enormous challenge but a simpler one to solve than to regenerate the destruction that is to come if we dontt wake up. (Not possible by any means).
It is simple yet a lot to ask, worst still there is no other solution.
Adoption would be helpful with people that wish to have large families as there are many children that would appreciate the chance to live be healthy and feel wanted.

It is our responsibility to leave a good management example and show our children that we considered their future by doing the right thing for population and environmental sustainability.
