Stop the action alerts until the filter for the entire communication within
Care2 is ready!
This message from Trudi a very good friends explains why we should stop the action alerts!

First of all I want you to know that I understand your good intentions,by sending on the action alerts.But......From yesterday till now,the 3 of you sent me 45 action alerts and that's a lot.
Please do send them when they are close to the deadline, when they need to be signed urgently. But please,do not send on every petition you sign, because people know where to find the petitionsite.
I talked about this in news I submitted a couple of weeks ago.
I am not asking you to note it,but please take a look at the comments on that news from other Care2 members.
It's not only about petitions without proper targets, but it's about how people feel about receiving an overdose of action alerts.
It's as well about copy and paste several action alerts, and send it in 1 message.
I really do not want to offend anyone, and I do not want to hurt anyone's feelings, but please do not send me so many action alerts anymore.
The only thing I am doing on Care2 lately is spending a lot of time on checking all those messages, and that leaves me with no time left to fight for the things I actually log in for.
This is the news, and again, please read some of the comments of other members below the news.
Thank you,
Trudi

 Dear Care2 management!

We the members of Care2 would like to ask you to
stop the action alerts until the filter for the communication is
ready! Or maybe even a system that can check the petitions not
yet signed by the member in question!

I would sign all the petitions that i agree with if i could get them listed as not signed! Since members are logged in it should be possible to see the petitions not yet signed!

Thank you for giving us the info on the petition but that still means
that we will have to delete hundreds of action alerts every day!

We are sure that you will come up with a perfect sollution to
manage:
Action alerts
invitations for friends
invitations for groups
chain messages
news to note
And every other possible communication
within the fantastic community!

Thank you so much for your concern!
We appreciate all your efforts to improve the community!

I am torn. I like supporting my friends action alerts but I am overwhelmed with so many. There si no way that I can sign them all or to know which ones are more urgent than others. I am afraid that very good petitions for very good causes will just get deleted. This seems to go against the idea of having petitions in the first place. I went of of town for a few days last week and came back to over 400 action alerts in my Inbox. I want to sign petitions but I can't sign all of them.

Too many alerts become nothing more than junk mail! Would rather just view the petitions on site and choose the good ones. Those with no clear target are just a waste of time and not helpful to anyone.Your name on a petition should mean something. If you continue to just sign useless ones you will not ever be taken seriously.People who really want to do some good in this world do not have time to waste on this. Thanks for understanding.

I agree. An overdose leads to congestion and congestion is the last thing I need nowadays.

Please do control Action alerts. Too many!! My inbox has been full for weeks. I cannot get to the end of my inbox and I work hard here. But I still got 900, that leaves me no time to do the things i would like to do on care 2, namely helping animals.

I will try to get this petition through. I waited 10 minutes for it to sign and it still didn't do it. It seems that every time the site goes down for maintenance, there is a glitch left behind.

Too true, I think when too many come at once it is "overkill" and some will be deleted although important!

Trudi and Hans!I completely agree with you! We ALL truly care. But we're often totally swamped by an overflowing Care2 inbox from passionate, well meaning Care2 friends. Choose your emails sparingly and with tender care. And we'll all get a much bigger response and interest in the end from appreciative Care2 Friends. Love and Big Hugs, Bonnie Hoffman

Action alerts are resulting in complete overload of duplicate messages to our email inboxes, we can't keep up and are spending more time deleting messages than signing petitions, this system is ridiculous - please resolve !
