Stop the cuts for foster and Adoptive care in Maine
The Maine Legislature has finally agreed on one thing, Children are the enemy and since they don't vote they can be denied the necessities of life.
The subsidies promised to the parents were promised until the children were 18 years old, yet they have been cut up to 66% in only five years. Funds for physical and psychological therapy have been cut, camps have been cut, clothing allowances have been completely cut. Now they want more.
The proposed cuts in Adoptive and Foster care subsidies are a renewed attack on children, many of Whom are in need of medical and or psychological care on an ongoing basis. Without foster adoptive parent many of these children would be in an institution costing hundreds of dollars a day and a dreadful human toll.
