My husband made a stupid mistake and gave a lift to a friend and agreed to fetch him not quite knowing what he was up to. Anyway the police picked my husband up with this friend and my husband was charged with conspiracy to burgle and sentenced to 17 months in prison now the Home Office are trying to deport him from the UK and send him back home.
We have a 1 year old little boy he adores. He has made a mistake which he is truly sorry for he has never been in any trouble before. Please help it would destroy us as a family if he is deported. The Home Office have said I could leave my 13 year old daughter in UK with her father and go to Albania with my husband. Me and my children are the innocent victims who are being punished if my husband is deported.
Don'[t Split Up Our Family! A few years ago my Mum got remarried, I gained a new dad and a new little brother who is now just one year old. Unfortunately some people are trying to force our family apart all because my step dad is from a different ethnic group- he is Albanian. Only ten years ago images of horrific ethnic cleansing from Kosovo were on TV screens around the world, people forced to flee their homes in terror, sometimes with the complicity of the police and government . But now it seems away from the glare of media publicity no one cares about a family being split up because my step dad is Albanian and the government are actually trying to deport him because of his ethnic origin.Nearly ten years ago Tony Blair said, he was at the border where the refugees were arriving. It was one of the most disturbing, shocking, few hours of my life. What I saw, the stories I heard, were of the most appalling barbarity. I saw thousands of refugees who had been on the move non-stop for a month... They are the...victims of a terrible crime - a crime that has haunted the 20th century - ethnic cleansing. Dont let the family be split up! Dont force us to live in Albania where most of us have never been or speak the language or be divided! How can a government attempt to ethnically cleanse us because one of us is Albanian and my little brother is half Albanian? Why aren't people speaking out? Why isn't our government doing something?Well actually our government is doing something- they are the government trying to deport my step dad. Because this story this time isn't from Kosovo in 1998 but Birmingham in 2007. "

there are many other people who doesn't even think that dirty "jobs" they're doing it's really bad for the society. the person we're signin about looks like was being more human and helpful for the others than he should be. or in other words he was trying to help a member of his neighborhood as i understood from the explanation. I do agre with the saying; everyone deserves another chance.

The government are using too many regulations in cases like this they should try looking at people and people rights first before deciding anything. Why should a child be torn away from a loving family when we here every day the way this country is breaking up and away ward kids from broken families, why make a few more by tearing them apart other a mistake that some other people just get cautioned for, i too am married to an albanian and have torment at the hands of embassy being told inj tirana to leave my husband , go back ,dont worry about it your son is too small to remember his dad. I stuck through it and won in the end so good luck and keep going.

I think the gentlemen got what he deserved by serving his months in prison.
I believe it is in the nature of dictatorships to make people continue to pay for the rest of their life for what they have done in the past. While in democracies people have to learn from their mistakes and then the society tries to integrate them as best as possible into the society again. English people have a brilliant expression which says: "GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE". I am sure the gentlemen will be given that chance to prove that he is a devoted citizen, a devoted father and husband.
I think only in dictatorships the whole family can suffer harsh consequences as result of a member of family being considered a traitor or having done something wrong. This has been a characteristic of the Eastern Communist Block. I don't think this works in democracies as well.
As result, I am pretty sure that the gentleman's family (the wife and the children) will not suffer because of what he did in the past because I fully believe in the British judiciary system and in the Democratic values of this great nation where we are lucky to live but at the same time have big responsibilities to be respectful citizens.

Hi, I am an Albanian PhD student in Molecular Biology. I think that
each case should be looked at individually. If they wanted to deport him then thats what they should of done instead of prison time. He did his time so leave him alone. It happens, because our governement is very weak in comparision to the britannic government.
