We the undersign would appreciate it if the City Council of Penang would take into consideration to humanely euthanize and not shoot the stray animals and also to collaborate with local animal shelters to give the strays a possible chance of being rehomed.

It is important to control stray dog population especially those looking sick n pathetic without any owners. BUT there are many other ways to put them down decently NOT by shooting them. It's a very cruel way to see them die. It is not instant death mind you.

surely this is just another form of animal cruelty, and the people responsible for it should be made to face their wrong doing, after a recent trip to penang i was alarmed at the lack of respect animals in this country receive, not just dogs, starved horses with bones pertruding from every angle are walked up and down the beach for money all day long these pigs who abuse animals should be jailed.
