Most of the things we use that are styrofoam are also made in paperboard & plastic & various other things we can recycle. Styrofoam NEVER disintegrates!!! It is very harmful to the environment. I work at the longhorn steakhouse in Williston Vt, and I watch numerous styrofoam togo containers walk out the door. To me it seems completely obscene that restaurants are still allowed to use styrofoam, and I think starting by banning styrofoam in corporate restaurants would have a great impact on the styrofoam industry.

We've been pressured to accept these harmful materials because they are so cheap. In my country a polystyrene-foam food packaging cost only 3-5 cent US$ per piece. How could they become so cheap? But the implication is so costly to our health and environment. Let's fight together!!!
