Stop Cruelty to Dogs in Bulgaria and set Up Shelters
Everyday thousands of Stray and Abandoned pet dogs in Bulgaria are subjected to horrendous forms of cruelty, torture and neglect. They are kicked, stoned, beaten, starved, poisoned, shot, killed or maimed in traffic accidents. Many of these animals are left injured and in severe pain, frightened and distressed. In winter with no food, water or shelter many of them quite simply freeze to death.
We need a minimum of 1,000 signatures to take to Government Officials to stop this cruelty and to force them to take action by punishing those responsible and to set up desparately needed Animal Shelters where sick, injured, vulnerable and homeless dogs can go to be treated, cared for and adopted.
Please help us to make this a reality by signing this petition and passing it on to your friends and family to sign.
Your action today could save lives tomorrow.
We the undersigned are petitioning the Bulgarian Government to stop the malicious and deliberate cruelty through: poisoning, beating, starving, maiming, shooting, torturing, killing on the road and any other means classed as cruelty, to the Stray and Abandoned dogs living in Bulgaria and to make law a suitable punishment for those found guilty of any forms of animal cruelty.
Also as part of the above we are petitioning the Bulgarian Government to take more positive and proactive action to designate free land and or a building in each municipality area of Bulgaria to be used as responsible and caring Animal Shelters where sick, injured, vulnerable and homeless dogs can go to be medically treated, cared for and re-homed where possible.
We would like to thank-you for taking the time to read our petition and look forward to setting up management meetings with key government representatives and Animal Welfare groups to move this project forward.
