Dear Mr President,
Would you please ask your congress for legislation outlawing the inhumane gassing of animals in kill shelters across the country. This method that many shelters use of killing animals they no longer have room for is considered cruel and painful. No shelter should be allowed to choose that method over the more humane lethal injection.
Below is a petition by Americans who support this cause. If given more time, many more signitures could be obtained. Won't you please hear our voices?
If possible, please also ask for legislation that would create a no kill animal shelter system in America. Models for no-kill shelters do exist.
