Strike "The supremecy of God" from Canada's Charter of Rights
This petition is submitted by the People of Canada to have the the mention of "God" and statement "the supremacy of God" struck from the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. These words and the concept they represent do not belong in a free and democratic society no matter what the beliefs of individuals are. Moreover they are words that have been used to validate countless criminal activities by individual groups and organizations and even governments.
We the undersigned petition the Canadian Government to remove all mention of "
God" and "
supremacy of God" from the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. As the reality of such a being is not factually established except through religious hubris, which makes the mention of such a being unconstitutional. This petition is solely focused on the removal of these terms "God" and "supremacy of God" from Our Charter of Rights and Freedoms. If the world and especially "free and democratic" societies are to remain healthy and prosper they will do so far better without government support in and of the belief in illusory constructs. The future of humanity demands respect of the individual to be free from the slavery of other men's created delusions and moral code created from such "faith" as witnessed by countless millions world wide and throughout the history of this human created construct of a so called "God". Thank you for your support in creating a Healthy and Wise Society of Free and Democratic Individuals through Reason and an intelligent approach to Life and Living.
