We the undersigned, reject the notion that a respected academic like Professor Chai Feldblum should be rejected for a seat on the EEOC merely because of her ground breaking work in expanding the notion of equality. We fully support her nomination, and believe it will make this county a more equitable place for all people.

Prof. Feldblum is an ideal candidate for the EEOC, as she has worked tirelessly and intelligently to support equal opportunities for all.

I first met Chai Feldblum in 1987 when she was advocating for the Fair Housing Act on behalf of people with disabilities. I couldn't think of a more qualified individual to be on the EEOC. President Obama made a wise choice in nominating her. Anyone who thinks otherwise does not know the truth about Professor Feldblum.

The Religious Right (which IMHO is neither Religious or Right!) has too often tried to vilify and smear far too many candidates for Public Office because of their prejudiced views! Stop this terrible travesty and support Chai Feldblum's nomination!

Chai Feldblum follows the Teachings of Jesus Christ since she recognizes that God creates all things good and all people with their special identities. She respects equality, justice and rejects discrimination of all kinds including race, creed and sexual orientation. She is perfect for the job she has been nominated too.

The attacks on Ms. Feldblum are based on fear tactics. The fact that a ROMAN catholic deacon tries to verbally tear her down is not surprising, but it is deplorable as someone who calls themselves Christian, a follower of Christ. No matter what ones religious beliefs are, basic human rights are for all God's children. No matter ones marital status, age, ethnic background, religious beliefs OR sexual orientation. All God's children should be treated, and protected the same. I am happy to affix my name to this petition. Most Rev. Mel H. Borham OFC Presiding Bishop ORCC-English Rite.

As a committed catholic Christian I find Chai Feldblum's views consistent with my own and those of any thoughtful Christian living in the 21st century. Bishop Brian E. Brown, Diocese of the Shepherd's Heart

An intelligent person who understands the holistic system in which we exist. Chai would be invaluable as a member of the EEOC.

Ms. Feldblum deserves the position. Her past record is impecable. She is brilliant. Let us not buckle to the false, extremist, intolerant and un-American noise-makers. We are a better country than that.

How ironic that this qualified person for the EEOC is facing this type of discrimination.

Please do not allow the inflexibility of a loud and biased minority subvert the will of the many...I am a practicing Catholic, and I fully support President Obama and his goals, despite obstinate obstruction by the fearful and the narrow-minded.

I resent the attacks on qualified professionals because they don't live up to someone's religious standards. As a Catholic Democrat this is appaling.

Discrimination of any type is abhorrent and the EEOC is one place to ensure that all citizen's can enjoy the promise of this country's founding fathers, "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness". Therefore, attacking Professor Feldblum's nomination because she would work toward that goal is contrary to the fabric of our country.

While not gay, I strongly believe in equal rights for all and some extreme changes in how we perceive and support equal rights. I was strongly impressed with Professor Feldblum's comments about the "special" treatment received by religious groups. What other group has the power to ignore federal, state, and local laws passed by the people due to religious beliefs? All people must be treated equally NO MATTER WHAT.
