Support H.C.R. 40 - no NAU (North American Union)
On January 22, 2007 Rep. Virgil Goode introduced H.C.R. 40 "expressing the sense of Congress that the United States should not engage in the construction of a North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) Superhighway System or enter into a North American Union with Mexico and Canada."
Please show support for H.C.R. 40 and unite Congress in telling the Bush Administration and CFR NO North American Union. It has been deferred to the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. There are now currently 46 Democrat and Republican Cosponsors but no vote.
Let us express to Congress that they should inform this and future administrations not to make a formerly known as US, Canada & Mexico by consolidating our countries into one North American Union. This is a decision to be made by the people of all three nations in conjunction and overseen by our legislative branches of government.
We have troops in Iraq and Afghanistan that are fighting for us. We can't let them come home to a nation we did nothing to fight for our troops to have to come home to.
Please join in supporting that Congress holds a hearing, and for not only the passing of this Resolution but that it be taken further and an anti-NAU Bill be created as well.
If a NAFTA SuperCorridor is built that runs thru the middle of our nation and starts at a port in Mexico then it bypasses all ports such as The Port of New Orleans, The Port of Oakland and all coastal ports. For each state that has huge revenues from these ports that will cost jobs possibly for more than just the coastal and gulf states.

How is it that there was not vote by us America people who pay Bush's salary for this to be put into place? Why are there not more people like those listed below who are fighting this agreement that will take away any right of US Citizens that we might have left?
Whatever happened to for the people, by the people? This is for the government, by the government? I think not..
Our presidents past and present have betrayed our country. It is time to send a resounding message to our government to withdraw from all functions of the NAU, SPP and all other sub groups. If they will not then Americans may be forced to "(But) when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." take further action.
I have served my country for over 4 years in the armed forces, and I have had 3 tours overseas. This NAU is making me want to imigrate to another country because if this goes through this will no longer be th USA. All the men who have given there lives in protecting this country will be disgraced!!!!

I was born in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and so were my children, not the North American Union. Our forefathers fought and died for this country and I can not stand the thought of it being given away.

The North American Union threatens our national sovereignty and will destabilize our Dollar and our economy. Do not let the Neo-Conservatives start down the path of a one-world government in which their desire is the potential North American Union and the European Union would eventually merge.

It is in our best interest to support the ideals our nation was founded on and one of those ideals was independence.
I vehemently oppose the creation of a North American Union! Moreover, there has been no public discussion nor input on such a monumental change and I adamantly insist that to continue with this proposal to dissolve the United States of America is a treasonous act. I will not have my citizenship stripped away along with my rights which have been diluted or simply trampled.
