Support Warren Streeter's Immediate Release

Warren was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised primarily in Manhattan and the Bronx.  For over the last twenty four years, Warren has had the support of his family, who live along the eastern sea board.  In  the last 14 years, Warren has been happily married to his loving wife Mary Streeter.  Each family member has been a wellspring of encouragement over the years.  Since the fall of 1987, at the age of 19 Warren has been incarcerated.  While being incarcerated Warren has worked to making positive changes in his life, and those he assist, and encounter.  Warren has taken full responsibility for his past.  Warren has changed his life and feels deep remorse for his youthful crime.  He has dedicated his life to helping others learn from his dreadful choices in his teenage years.  He has become a conscientious individual, who facilitates programs dealing in human repair and therapeutic development.  Warren has truly become a part of the solution.

Experience working under a battery of Clinicians on Intermediate Care Program (ICP) as Supervising Counselor and Therapeutic Recreation Aide.

                 SKILLS/INTERESTS

Warren is a motivated self-starter with excellent inter-personal, communication, and human relations skills.  He enjoys working in Human Services and Clinical settings and feels he has the knowledge and background to be a true asset within his community.  Warren has experience supervising mentally ill and chemically addicted (MICA), and Developmentally Disabled (DD) individuals.  He provided day-to-day management of residential site including training and supervising staff and monitoring of implementation of Residential Habilitation Plans.              

Warren has worked as an ICP Aide and Tutor for men seeking to take their lives back after a lifetime of drug addiction.  Warren works with the hope that he will be able to empower MICA patients to achieve  a higher level of excellence and further development of opportunities for the present and future.  As a person who grew up in the violent drug culture, Warren seeks to teach alternatives to drug use and the drug culture, which often times leads to mental illness, incarceration or death.

MISSION

Warren seeks to assist mentally ill and chemical addicted (MICA) men and women who are classified as at risk, in the areas of employability skills, HIV/AIDS awareness, anger management and conflict resolution with special emphasis on helping the MICA population deal with their mental illness and chemical addiction, which often times leads to relapse and incarceration.

SEEKING

Warren wishes to gain your support for his release by means of Executive Clemency in the form of commutation of his sentence of 32 years to life.  If Governor Cuomo grants his application, the commutation of Warren's sentence would make him eligible for the consideration of release by the Division of Parole, Warren's initial parole board hearing is currently scheduled for January 2020.

We see no reason to continue to waste taxpayers money, and government resources on a man that is clearly reformed and has shown remorse for his past wrongs.
