Movie Trailer for "Thief in the Night"

Tell Alabama to stop persecuting Christians!

Target:
Attorney General Troy King
Two Alabama Ministers of God are being persecuted for using cannabis as their sacrament. This couple are charged with drug trafficking after a plant grew in their backyard, as God intended. No one was hurt and no harm was done to the community, yet over 200 hours of manpower by the DA's office has been spent trying to prosecute these two unnecessarily. (And this is BEFORE the trial!) How much more valuable time that should be used to put dangerous criminals behind bars will be used up in this foolish endeavor?

This petition is intended for the Attorney General of Alabama, so let him know how you feel about this waste of the taxpayers' money. This case should have been dismissed when the two made the DA's office aware of their ministerial status, yet it has dragged on for over a year and a half. Right now, the two are on house arrest and cannot go to work, church, or even to the grocery store! The two were also recently incarcerated for 22 days for simply continuing to practice their religion of choice. A religion that the First Amendment GUARANTEES!

It's time to say NO to the drug war once and for all, especially when no harm is done! It does not benefit the community to incarcerate people who have had ZERO negative impact. All this does is waste valuable resources that could be used in a beneficial manner.

So come on, tell us what you think about all this. We want to hear from YOU.

Mr King,

We, the undersigned, do not believe that it is the State's best interest to continue to use the resources of the Baldwin County District Attorney's office to prosecute these two ministers of God.

Freedom of religion is a right specifically spelled out in the First Amendment of the Constitution, and must be protected, as long as no harm is done. It is not necessary for the state to agree with someone's chosen religion in order for it to fall under this protection.

Please contact the Baldwin County District Attorney's office and demand that this case be dismissed. The founding fathers who wrote the Constitution had this very situation in mind when freedom of religion was put at the VERY TOP of the Bill of Rights.

Thank you for taking the time to address this very serious issue.

I do not think these law abiding people should be prosecute. As another law abiding citizen I think it is rediculous to charge them. They caused no harm to the public at large. After all, thats what the constitution protects against is harming the public at large. These followers of Jesus did not do so why should they be prosecuted?

The GreenEarthMinistries.org is dedicated to the responsible use of cannabis as a spriritual sacrament and healing herb specifically ordained in the old and new testament of the Holy Bible by God. Please support this organization as they challenge the constitutionality of the United States laws prohibiting organically derived substances around the world. Our country was founded on the protection of human rights which have been systematically eroded by the Controlled Substances Act and the prejudice of our nations leaders and corporations. We must put an end the draconian laws that are stripping the citizens of the world of their God given rights. Please support us in our fight for religious freedom. Marijuana is the Tree of Life and is for the healing of all nations.

This is just plain ridiculous. The state is just wasting their time, and my money. They should be putting their efforts into prosecuting real criminals. Yet, these people are in trouble for having a marijuana plant wildly growing in their yard, but in my neighborhood there are at least 6 well-known "crack houses" that the officials are doing nothing to stop. I applaud our DA offices, "good job guys".

Thanks in advance for signing this very important petition! God gave us all the plants for mankind to use. He didn't say, "Except cannabis." Cannabis has been shown to be the cure for CANCER and many other diseases that plague mankind. Your government doesn't want you to know this, but the cat is out of the bag, so to speak. Why else would a PLANT be deemed a "devil weed," except to keep you from using it and staying healthy and increasing your spirituality? The very LAST thing that governments want are people who can think for themselves. But we know better, don't we?
