Tell Albany to cover MTA's Budget Problem Now!!

Target:
Honorable David Paterson- Capitol, Albany, NY 12224
Sponsored by:

If Albany State doesn't help Metropolitan Transportation Authority, we could soon facing higher prices on buses, subways, even MetroCard!!
Albany needs to understand our mass transit and commuter railroads play important rule in our everyday life.
If MTA couldn't get help from Albany, NY.

Here are plans by Metroplitan Transportation Authority.
Unlimited MetroCard.
Cash fare on subway, buses, even Roosevelt Island Tramway operated by RIOC (Roosevelt Island Operating Corporation) could increase from $2 to $2.50 or possibly $3.
30-Day MetroCard which cost $81 could go up to $104; without Service Cut, it's $107.
14-Day Pass at $47 will be $60; without service cut, it is $62.
7-Day Pass at $25 will be $32; without service cut $33.
1-Day Pass $7.50 will be $9.50; without service cut, $10.

Service Cut on Subways:
(G) train service to/from Forest Hills will be shorten to Court Square station.
Rush Hour (M) service to/from Bay Parkway will be Broad St in Manhattan.
(W) train which operates as Broadway-Astoria Local between Ditmars Blvd and Whitehall St will be discontinued. As in result, N train will be local north of Canal St at all times.
Discontinue peak express (Z) train could cause (J) to run local all times.

There is plan for service cut on low ridership buses in all boroughs, and elimating low-ridership buses like X25, QM22, QM23, etc.

LIRR and MNRR fare are increasing.

There are poor New Yorkers who cannot afford to paid expensive subway and bus ride.
If that happened, I would think ridership will be decrease.
So, please tell anyone to stop FARE HIKE AND SERVICE CUT.

To us, we cannot afford to buy car or taxi. They're too expensive.
With rent hike, charge on tap water, Taxi Fare Hike, this price is very insane.

We New Yorkers, New Jerseyers, and Connecticutian Urge Albany to cover Metropolitan Transportation Authority's budget gap because this current price is enough and we don't want any Higher just like Hampton Jitney bus.

It's ridiculous to charge commuters any more money for something that is as vital to the lifeblood of NYC as is its transit. I'd boycott all of it and walk the Brooklyn Bridge if I didn't have to be at work on time.

I ride transit and I vote. The state legislature cannot sit back and do nothing when the heart of our economy in New York City is our ability to have a reliable, affordable transit system.
