Tell Friendly's to Stop Their Tactical Attack on Kids

Tell Friendly's to Stop Their Tactical Attack on Kids

Target:
Friendly's resturants
Sponsored by:
Friendly's new ad campaign features an even weaker argument for our patronizing their shops than we're used to these days; like most ads, it's not even an argument.  This time Friendly's got right to it and went for the 'brainwashing' approach.   Friendly's is currently playing (spamming) its new jingle on the radio, a chorus of prepubescent voices insisting musically that they all want to go to Friendly's.  Ok.  Then they play it in the restaurants as well.  My fiance and I went there for lunch once and heard the commercial 3 times.  Granted, we did stay for ice cream too, but thrice?
It's also printed on the kids menu, the 3d glasses, the crayons, and basically anything intended for minors.  Every time I hear it played in the restaurant it's always accompanied by 5 or 6 tisk tisking persons.  And on one horrifying trip in I actually witnessed the fruition of the campaign, a little girl singing the jingle to her grandmother while waiting for her chicken fingers.
Obviously, taken out of context, this terribly infectious song becomes a request from your darling sparkly eyed child; do they realize what they're singing or are they really wanting to go?  Who can say when Friendly's is utilizing them as unpaid spokespeople, and I think it's disgusting.
Please sign my petition and tell Friendly's that childhood is too short to be cheapened by fiendish commercial tricks.

Thank you
