Tell NL, Mexico's House of Representatives to approve the Animal Protection and Welfare Law Iniciati

The Animal Protection and Welfare Law Iniciative for NL, Mexico was the most voted on by the mexican public, but most of the government representatives abstained to vote in favor of it so it was dismissed. The public outrage was so bad they went out through the back door, even more so because the ones who promoted this initiative were actually the ones who abstained to vote in favor of it!!!! This law was supposed to prevent animal abuse and slaughter from happening, because right now the mexican government doesn't really punish any abuse to animals.

Let international pressure support the local and national pressure... let's hope this is enough for the representatives to REALLY start REPRESENTING what the PEOPLE want, and for this local initiative to become a national law!

We the undersigned hereby ask the House of Representatives of NL, Mexico to approve the Animal Protection and Welfare Law Initiative, which we know received a lot of national support, and to promote for it to become a national law. 

We remind you that the House of Representatives is supposed to REPRESENT the public, not personal interests. It is time for Mexico to catch up to other countries in protection laws for animals, which have no voice to defend themselves. Let your state be the one to put the example to other states. This is an Initiative that is now under international scrutiny, so we hope you will do the right thing.

Por medio de la presente nosotros los que firmamos, solicitamos a la Cámara de Diputados de NL, México que apruebe la Iniciativa para la Ley de Protección y Bienestar Animal, la cual sabemos que recibió mucho apoyo del pueblo mexicano.

Les recordamos que la Cámara de Diputados se supone que debe de representar al pueblo, no intereses personales. Ya es momento que México actualice sus leyes de protección de animales (aquellos que no tienen voz para defenderse) para que esté más a la par con otros países. Permitan que su estado sea el que ponga el ejemplo. Esta iniciativa ahora está bajo escrutinio internacional, por lo que les solicitamos cordialmente que hagan lo correcto.
