In a disturbing attempt at satirical humor, a Wyoming football coach issued a enormously sexist and homophobic "questionnaire" to his high school players.
The "Hurt Feelings Report," as titled by Buffalo high School football coach Pat Lynch, includes a section in which students were to check off their reasons for filing a complaint of abuse.
Selections included: "I am a queer," "I am a pussy," and "I have woman like hormones."
Lynch refers to the reported abuser as the embodiment of a "real man" and refers to the abused as a "sissy" or "girly-man"
Though Lynch justly resigned from his position as football and weightlifting coach, he has now been given the position of guidance counselor.
After such an unbelievable moral blunder, this man should not serve as a role model for any student.
Tell Buffalo High School: Terminate sexist and homophobic Pat Lynch!
We the undersigned demand that you terminate Pat Lynch immediately from his current position as guidance counselor at Buffalo High School.
After his terrible actions with the "Hurt Feelings Report," it has been made clear that Lynch should not have an influential role with the molding minds of youth.
We understand that Lynch has been with Buffalo High for many years and has been an asset in athletic terms, but to what cost?
His bullying of teens should not be dismissed and Lynch's appalling actions should not be swept under the rug.
While Lynch remains at your school, hostility remains.
Students deserve better. Students deserve a safe and accepting environment to learn, grow and achieve.
