TESCO bought over a chain of supermarkets in China some time ago. Financial Times report...TESCO profits massive! The title of the news? 'EVERY LITTLE FROG HELPS'. These supermarkets in China sell live amphibians and turtles in awful torture and some skinned alive. I called TESCO headquarters to challenge the issue, to tell them they maybe selling endagered spp. 'TESCO' would NEVER do that' was the reply. There is no way of telling apart from DNA swabbing every animal. These animal sales, be they of farmed or wild-caught individuals, are incompatible with contemporary concepts of corporate responsibility and compassion. We should therefore urge Tesco to reconsider its decision to sell these animals and pledge that until it does, we will not shop at Tesco, nor make use of or subscribe to any of the company's other services, such as petrol stations, saving accounts, credit cards, loans, travel, home or pet insurance etc. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/investing-and-markets/article.html?in_article_id=420559&in_page_id=3
