We, the undersigned, find your decision to publish the photo of mortally wounded US Marine Joshua Bernard in despicable and in poor taste. The Bernard family requested that the photo not be published and you ignored that request. Defense Secretary Gates has requested that the photo be taken down and we hope you take this request more seriously than the request of the grieving family of Joshua Bernard.

To the AP...we all know soldiers die in war! We do not need to see them die and their poor family does not need to see them die, either> This causes some much more pain for them and they already have more than anyone could bear!
