Tell the Georgia Aquarium to stop exploiting the intelligence of Dolphins
We appeal to the better judgment of the Georgia Aquarium Board of Directors to stop the enslavement of Dolphins. We ask the Georgia Aquarium to stop using Dolphins for entertainment. The confinement of dolphins in any unnatural habitat is not humane. These animals are naturally wild and in nature travel 40 miles a day. This facility will in no way allow these animals to thrive and experience the normal life of a Dolphin. It is impossible to meet the needs of dolphins while in captivity.
Dolphins are the second most intelligent animal in the world (Second only to humans). No rational person would accept enslaving highly intelligent animals for entertainment and greed. The Georgia Aquarium is exploiting the intelligence of Dolphins to do unnatural tricks just to increase tickets sales.
There isn't a rational reason to force these animals to entertain us. Our need to be entertained should never be at the expense and suffering of any animal. Highly intelligent animals because of their intelligence are more aware and thereby more effected by captivity.
We urge the Georgia Aquarium to rethink their position on Dolphin exploitation. If the goal of the aquarium is to rescue dolphins in need then we encourage the aquarium to rescue them and not enslave them into a life of unnatural servitude. RESCUE not SLAVERY!!!!
