Tell Wendy's Foie-Gras Is a Delicacy of Despair!

The fast-food chain, Wendy's, has just announced its plans to open 100 new locations in the next five years. One of these includes a re-launch in Japan.

Along with this opening, the menu will undergo a makeover and the inclusion of foie-gras is at the top of the list.

Foie-gras has been dubbed the "delicacy of despair" and for good reason. To produce this duck/goose liver, ducks or geese are actually force-fed grains through pipes several times a day to bloat their livers up to 10 times their natural size. They spend their lives in tiny wire cages or are packed into sheds.

Tell Wendy's that it is horrific they are even considering adding such an inhumane item to their menu. Ask them to urgently halt these plans and commit to never using foie-gras in any of their restaurants.
We the undersigned are writing to urgently request that you reconsider plans to include foie-gras in the menu of the up-and-coming Japan location of Wendy's.

Many of these animals are killed in the production process from overstuffing the liver, while others suffer such extreme stress that they resort to cannibalization.

It is horrific to even consider including this on a menu, and we do not wish to support an establishment that chooses profitability over humanity. Please halt these plans to include foie-gras in your restaurants and make a commitment to your customers that you will never resort to such cruelty in your restaurants.
