Dear Honorable Burrell Ellis,

From the day Terrell Bolton was hired by Vernon Jones, he has demonstrated is that he is not qualified to hold the position of Chief of Police, and he should be terminated the first day you take office.

A laundry list of reasons Bolton should be terminated, not necessarily in order:

1. Was terminated as Chief of Police of Dallas Texas Police
2. Shows no loyalty to the citizens of DeKalb County; has yet to establish permanent residence in the State of Georgia
3. Violated state law by failure to properly register a motor vehicle.
4. Forced into retirement or demoted qualified command staff in order to hire friends and friends of family
5. Has a civilian in charge of sworn personnel
6. Neglect of Duty in the protection of the citizens of DeKalb by placing scores of sworn officers in none critical positions.
7. Waste of taxpayers money in the form of take home cars to non critical, non sworn personnel, purchase of campers and personal trips, just to list a few
8. Increased violent crime rate for the entirety of employment.
9. Fleeing the state in time when DeKalb County suffered it%u2019s worse crime in it%u2019s history, the murder of Officers Bryant and Barker
