We don't need a bigger airport. We don't need a higher tourism percent at the moment. The government of the British Virgin Islands wants to spend hundreds of millions of dollars extending the runway to 7,000 feet: that’s an additional 2,500 feet (as big as the St.Maarten Runway). Once the runway gets extended they will have to spend more money on the terminal and many other things to do with the airport. Why not spend money on finishing the hospital, fixing Road Town, and the roads, and making Tortola beautiful. National Democratic Party (N.D.P) started the hospital, so why not finish it? Why not improve Road Town and make it what it has the potential of becoming? Cleaning Road Town and taking care of the environment and sewage systems is a necessity if we want to keep attracting tourists to this beautiful island. Help us make the government spend our money on the important things. The B.V.I Project
