I for one don't think to much of him.I took my son to a Phillies game ,they lost but the game in the Vet .After the game,in the tunnel on the way out to where the players park ,some of the other playes were signing autographs and my son was waiting for Curt to come out.He did but walked in the middle and didn't look or talk to anyone.He let a lot of kids down that day,not all kids make it to all of the games.
At the time we both thought he was one of the best pitchers at that time.Well after that we were glad to see him go!!! Even if we did lose.

You made a dream come through, twice. You went up against the best and almost always won. That says everything you need to know about you Curt, you don't need the Hall.

Thank you Curt for 2004 playoffs, and the world series. My grandfather finally got to witness a world series for the first time in 86 years. that win means so much because he passed away 7 months later, thank you so much!

Curt, I just wanted to say thanks for your professionalism, hard work and desire to be a champion. While it isn't easy to route for players in this day and age of free agency, I am a fan of yours. The last jersey I bought was Nomar's and after he was traded to Chicago and now, LA, I have since, bought a #8 (Yaz) jersey. He was my favorite player growing up and I know that he will never be traded! I miss living in Boston and miss going to games at Fenway. I try to catch the team whenever you are in LA and the surrounding areas. You have brought my family many happy Sox memories over the course of your tenure here. Best of luck to you, Shonda and your kids and know that you should never have to buy a drink in Boston as long as you live there. All the best! -Romeo

It's been great having you in a Sox suit, Curt, and my hope is we'll see you wearing it again sometime next season in a game, at Fenway, for a final season (or partial season) farewell tour. Best of luck, however things shake out for you.

Curt, first let me say that I was very saddened to hear about your injury and that you may not return to the Red Sox. I've enjoyed watching you pitch. I think you've done great things for Boston and hope it is possible for you to come back. I think both you and your wife are incredibly giving people and Boston still needs you. But, if Boston is not that lucky, I just want to thank you for all of your dedication and hard work. It's been fun!!
Thanks for everything.

Thank You Curt Schilling for the good times and God Bless, You and Shonda and Your family for what you are doing for helping people who have serious illness. P. S. In 1960, 3 guys came up to the RED SOX, Yaz, Chuck Schilling and Don Schwall. Do you have any connection to Chuck Schilling, he played 2nd base and wore #2? Thanks again, God Bless, Mary T. Curt - from day one, you took the town and team under your wing. Your leadership, hard work, and integrity are second to none. More importantly, despite being a "star" you interacted directly with your fans, answered questions honestly for the media, and did so consistently. I cannot imagine a sports figure that I would rather have my children emulate than you. Thanks for everything. Be well.

I inherited my Red Sox allegence from my father 59 years ago. Though my father never lived to celebrate the '04 miracle, my son and I did. Your presence on that team will always be remembered by us, not only for the way you played the game, but for the heart you showed. You made good on a promise and did it with flare. All Red Sox fans should be eternally grateful.

If I spent the rest of my life saying the words it would not be enough to express my gratitude for all the work you have given for MY team and all the other loyal Boston fans worldwide. I have been a Boston fan since I knew what baseball was. I am 53 now and living in NY but I wear my Red Sox cap faithfully and proudly. My young granddaughters (6 and 3) love to see the Boston & Red Sox pictures I have downloaded. I am making them a collage of Bosox - past and present!!
Again, Mr. Schilling, I ask the Goddess' blessings on you and yours.
May your surgery go splendidly and may you be back with us on the field soonest.

Thanks Curt and good luck on your surgery Monday. You said you would come to Boston and help win a World Series for this city and you did not disappoint. I waited over 30 years to celebrate a WS in Boston and it was the most exciting playoff and WS win, one for the ages. For that, you will always be imortalized in New England. You did it with style and flair. May God bless you and your family. We will look forward to a speedy recovery and await your return to good health. God speed!

CURT, YOURS HAS BEEN A CLASS ACT, YOU DELIVERED ON YOUR PROMISE TO RED SOX NATION. IF INDEED YOUR CAREER IS FINISHED YOU GO OUT AS A WINNER, PURE AND SIMPLE. THE "BLOODY SOCK" GAME WAS ONE OF THE GUTSIEST PERFORMANCES IN MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL HISTORY. GOD BLESS CURT SCHILLING. I DO HAVE ONE REGRET; THAT MY DAD DID NOT LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO ENJOY NOT ONLY YOUR SUCCESS BUT THE SUCCESS OF THE BOSTON RED SOX, i.e. 2 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS. SUCCESS ON YOUR UPCOMING SURGERY AND IF A COMBACK IS IN THE CARDS YOU CAN PULL IT OFF. REGARDS, ED AND JOAN PREW, RIVERSIDE, RI. HOPEFULLY WE'LL SEE YOU IN COOPERSTOWN!

Curt;
As a disabled fan (stroke at a young age), I must really applaud you with all my heart for your pitching performances in the ALCS and World Series in 2004. A lesser man would probably have yukked it up and been a glory hound for doing that, but you were humble as you stood on that mound...it was definitely not a "You, you you" moment, but a "team" moment...and you showed everyone the power of the human will and heart. Thank you so much.

Your winning attitude and personal sacrifice for the team on the field was and will continue to be the gold standard for winning. You played in pain and still performed at the highest level of your profession on the biggest stage. Your coming to Boston was more than an acquisition. It was a happening, a turning point in Red Sox history. Due to what you have done for this franchise I challenge the Red Sox to consider retiring your number. Number 38 should always be watching over our field as a reminder of what can be acomplished when young men pull together as one for a common goal. God bless you Curt. Get well soon and keep smiling!
