In the past year alone NYC DOT has installed over 90 new miles of bike lanes, more than ever before and more than nearly any other city in the U.S. Installing a lane doesn't just happen by magic. It takes a team of highly coordinated professionals planning, doing outreach and finally actually working on the streets to prepare them, paint them and sometimes lay new concrete as well. So here's to you - the people behind the scenes who have made it safer and more enjoyable to bike around New York City! Thanks for all you do and keep up the great work!!!
