The Better World Through Self-Empowerment Pledge
We the undersigned pledge to make a better world by improving and empowering ourselves. We do this for our loved ones, ourselves, and all of the people of Earth. Our choices, actions, and attitudes largely determine what the future will hold. It is up to us to envision and work toward creating a bright and wonderful future. We seek to promote a critical mass of improved and empowered people necessary for significant positive change in the world.
We pledge to master our Power of Awareness. We recognize and acknowledge our Power of Awareness, take responsibility for using it, consciously determine what aspects of your life require your attention, and direct our Awareness where it is most needed.
We pledge to master our Power of Choice. We decide how much time and resources we are going to invest in ourselves. We look at the four key areas of our lives (Spirit, Mind, Body, and World) and make choices necessary to improve each of them.
We pledge to master our Power of Action. Having made decisions using our Power of Choice you must act upon them. We consider the positive consequences of taking an action we've decided upon and/or the negative consequences for not taking the action.
We pledge to master our Power of Example. Setting an example is a type of leadership. Others see what we do, and if they like what they see they may emulate us. By setting the best example possible, we are more likely to raise awareness of, and have others commit to, self-improvement and personal empowerment. We can also set a powerful examples through visible activities such as charity work or community service.
