The Deff Rolla Petition

This petition is to hopefully persuade Games Workshop into finally make a ruling on the Deff Rolla rules. Some believe you can use a deff rolla on vehicles, while others believe that you can ONLY use a deff rolla on infantry.

The rules are not rock solid enough for this argument to be settled on either side. Some tournaments will allow the deff rolla to damage vehicles in one round, then in later rounds rule AGAINST the use of it on a vehicle.

We are simply asking that, with enough signatures, that Games Workshop make a FAQ or other means, to answer this rules debate with a solid YES or NO

Thank you

How about some proof reading while were at it? Is play testing to much to ask for? Cheers

Yes. Should not be on vehicles.

If my vehicle was rammed with a big, spiked steamroller it'd defenatly do some damage, just maybe not as much as if it rammed my soft, pink body.

This is a rule that desperately needs resoultion - it is perhaps one of the most hotly contested debates in the 40K community, and something that could give Orks a chance to fight against Land Raiders and Monoliths. It doesn't matter which way you rule, though - Just pick one!

yes i agree that GW has to clarify the ruling on the Deff Rolla, I am all for allowing the Rolla to be used againist vehicles. It fits very much w/ the nature of the Orks, who do not have any "reliable" weapons that are Str. 10 !

Please GW make better Errata and FAQ documents for all game systems and Codexes. There are far to many ambiguous rules and far to few clarifications from GW on those rules. You have the best models in the industry. The only thing keeping you from being nearly perfect is your Errata's and FAQs.

I would like to see this rule finalized, because only then will it justify spending 50+ dollars on a brittle hunk of plastic. Thanks

I want a good yes or no. It will heavly impact how many battlewagons I buy.

There are definetly some vagaries surrounding this awesome piece of kit. I can see the arguments to be had on both sides. GW seriously has to take the required 30 seconds to post some rule clarification on their site. Hopefully they'll see reason and give it to us greenies. If you let a battlewagon drive up to your land raider you deserve a 250 pt pan cake. And to quote fluff precedent Yarricks Baneblade was crushed by a rolla.

It is quite clear to me they can be used on vehicles. It was the last codex written before 5th edition came out. GW knew what they were doing.

It's rather clear in the rules that ramming is a type of tank shocking; and the rules' discussion of death or glory against a tank shock do indeed apply to ramming, as walkers can attempt death or glory. Furthermore, the Battlewagon fluff text clearly describes deff rollas being used to destroy vehicles; so from my perspective it seems clear that they should be usable. Despite this however, I would be happy with any sort of ruling, as many players find it to be too vague.

I agree that a ruling is needed on this. Too many of my forces have been mowed down by this vague rule.

Most of the Deffrolla's appeal is in the fact that it would mash through anything in its way. I'm not going to stop playing the rolla (mostly because I already modeled it anyway) but this needs to be settled.

I think it should be used against anything-a massive, spinning, spiky wheel can rip through a vehicle as easy as infantry.
