Help End the Annual Seal Slaughter!!
Each year, the Canadian government allows sealers to club these poor seals- adult and baby- to death and skin them, sometimes alive. They sell their pelts on the international fur marker. They hook them in the eyes, cheeks or mouth to simply avoid damaging their 'precious' fur. It's disgusting, to say the least. The seal-hunters crush the baby seals' skulls in with their weapons and then skin them, whilst their fellow seals and family watch on, not being able to do anything. It's disgusting for these people to be called humans. It needs to end, and now.
The way this has been handled is unacceptable and embarrassing. It's a shame that people of your class, the leaders of the country, are doing nothing. These seals do not deserve this. The seals don't even bother to run because they know their fate. The hunters? They don't deserved to be called humans. And quite frankly, right now, neither do you. Sitting back and watching is not the way. Iggy Pop said, "The screams of horror from the animals that watch the first other ones be bludgeoned- they don't even try to run. They don't know what's gonna hit 'em. I don't think anyone who'd seen that would want to wear fur." The United States and the European Union have acted upon this and banned the cruelty that is this 'business'- basically a game. President Barack Obama and His Holiness The Dalai Lama have denounced this massacre. It's time for you to wake up and do the same.
This is the holocaust for seals. Take action.
