Shark Finning has become the second most profitable trade in the world next to drug trafficking. A stagering 100 million sharks of all species are killed each year to be use for things such as shark fin soup, shark cartilige capsules and the shark fin alone. When the shark is killed most of the time the fisherman will cut off the fins while the shark is still concious and will throw the rst of the body to drown to the bottom. I find this quite inhumane and would really appreciate it if everyone here were to support this cause. The extinction of sharks would resolt in major upheavel in the ocean and would in the end lead to humans great suffering. Please join

We the undersigned, want the complete ban of this aweful fishing technique and for a limit to be put on the amount of sharks killed throughout our seas. This is a very large issue in our world today and is going on on a massive scale all around the world. It is inhumane to be killing such an important creature for things that are not even neccessities. People can most likely live without shark fin soup annd the cartilage does in fact have no way of curing humans from diseases or any other parasite. In saying that, there is absolutly no need to be killing these poor and helpless fish. They have been put on this earth way before our time and have managed to stay on it for more than 450 million years. For humans to come now and take them all away would be shameful and an insult to god and our planet. Please help to stop this madness and to bring peace and balance in our oceans. I feel so devastated to know how barbarian some fishermen can be to treat our wonderful sharks like that!! I have been diving both in the Philippines and Red Sea and seen those lovely sharks alive and swimming close to us and it’s a mystery to me how cruel humans are, just rip and cut their "arms" and “legs" off, just like that and let them die a painful death, drowning, just to have meal of soup.. HOW ABOUT TO DO THAT WITH FULLY ALIVE FISHERMEN ?? I want to see alivel Sharks when I go Scuba Diving, it's simple like that!!!, I have been in love with these wonderful animals since I was 12 years old reading books about them for hours... ( P.S I will continue signing EVERY Petiton I can find on the net about this issue! :-)
