Because school should be a safe place, fair for everyone not just a few. No one should feel scared or intimidated, especially by an authority figure.

Pat Lynch resigned as the football coach at the Buffalo Wyoming High School after circulating what could be called at best a "questionable" survey. At worst it was abusive, mysogynist, hateful and certainly anti-gay rhetoric. The survey was apparently designed to stigmatize and intimidate students who would not tolerate harrassment from so-called "real men". He may have resigned his postion as football coach because of the incident, but he has still kept his job as, of all things, a guidance counselor. We object and think he has no place in the public school system. He needs to resign entirely or be fired.
