Stop the Bridge Across Utah Lake
PETITION STATEMENT: "We strongly oppose both the permitting and construction of a bridge across Utah Lake. Utah Lake is a public treasure. It is NOT FOR SALE."

We the undersigned,
strongly oppose both the permitting and construction of a private toll bridge bisecting Utah Lake. It is the responsibility of the State of Utah to
protect and
conserve this public treasure: not to allow a group of private investors to exploit it for their personal gain. We do not want a bridge to (1) mar the view of our beautiful lake, (2) add pollutants to and thereby harm the lake and its wildlife, and (3) spawn rapid development on the west side of the lake which in turn would
add to our already poor air quality--at times the very worst in the nation. Again, we
strongly urge the State of Utah, as the guardian of the public trust, to NOT permit a bridge to be built across our public lake.
