I want the Traditional Latin Mass at my Catholic parish!

I want the Traditional Latin Mass at my Catholic parish!

Target:
The Catholic Bishops of the United States
In July of 2007, Pope Benedict XVI issued a motu proprio (of his own accord) called "Summorum Pontificum."  This MP stated that the Latin Mass used before Vatican II has always been allowed, and further stated that any priest of the Roman Rite may celebrate this "extraordinary form" of the Mass whenever he wants to.  All he needs to know is some Latin and the rubrics of the old Mass.

To my knowledge, no bishop up to this point has taken any survey to find out how many people at each parish in their diocese wants the "extraordinary form" of the Mass celebrated.  The purpose of this petition is simple.  Do you want the Traditional Latin Mass said at your parish?  If you do, please sign this petition.

We the undersigned are attached to the extraordinary form of the Catholic Mass, otherwise known as the Tridentine Mass, and hereby make our wishes known that we desire it be offered every week in our parishes.

Since the release and implementation of the motu proprio Summorum Pontificum of Pope Benedict XVI, our hearts are filled with joy now that any priest anywhere who wishes to offer the extraordinary form of the Mass may do so without restriction.

Through this petition we are making our wishes known to you, and we are confident, now that you have proof of our desire, that you will do everything in your power to make this Mass available to us in accordance with Summorum Pontificum, and the subsequent documents clarifying its intent.

I think it should be offered at Christmas and Easter; I don't think there will be many takers throughout the rest of the year

I visited the DaySpring Church on Roosevelt Island in New York City. It's a beautiful African Church with even more beautiful people. You can take the Q102 straight there from Queens Plaza or at the 21st Street/Queensbridge train station off the F train in N.Y.C..

One time so far as I am not religious. I'm just VERY spiritual and God-Loving!
