A Humane Solution

Feral cats are often unjustly portrayed as disease-ridden nuisances and are, consequently, removed from their communities and/or needlessly destroyed.

The TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) method , first implemented in Europe and the United Kingdom, is a comprehensive management plan in which entire feral colonies are humanely trapped, evaluated, vaccinated and neutered. Many are placed for adoption for adoption while the rest are returned to their familiar habitat where they are cared for and monitored within their own community . As a result, the populations are gradually reduced,  the "inconveniences" of howling and spraying are illiminated, and the threat of disease and malnutrition is virtually removed.

Therefore, please consider supporting the efforts of Alley Cat Allies and other organizations who are working to protect these misunderstood cats from tragedy and exploitation.

    Thank you.

No one has a cat problem its a people problem.cats cant wear condoms and there are some heartless, irresponible people that just abandon these defenseless cats that have no idea what they did wrong and why the people who are supposed to protect and love them leave them to fend for themselves and depend on the kindness of strangers to give them some food and water to put in their little bellys! The absolute least we can do is trap neuter or spay and return them.It costs much less than to trap and kill and in these tough economic times everyone needs to be aware of that but more important its the humane and right thing to do! TNR WORKS ITS BEEN PROVEN!

it is a shame that perfectly healthy cats are euthanized on a daily basis simply because there is an overpopulation.killing them is not the answer. what makes an animals life less important than a human life? lets work on fixing the situation without innocent lives being lost.

Where I live there is a huge ferrel cat problem, I wish there was a free or low cost way to spay or neuter. It would make a huge difference on the lives of these cats.I take care of 2 colonies myself and people think that dropping there cats off is getting rid of there problem but in reality it just causes me even more. It should be a law to have your pets spayed and neutered.

The Cat population is to high. Now with the bad economy people are abandoning there cats at there Forclosed homes. Spay and Neurting needs to be highly promoted. It should be required the people spay and neuter there animals.

The only way to stop feral cat populations is to spay and neuter. It has been proven this is the only humane and most importantly effective way.

I would love to assist in helping the feral problem. I have three that I feed regularly and I want to get them fixed so that they don't reproduce.
