Promoting the humane solution to feral cat community control through TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return)

Recently , The East Bay SPCA of Northern California has launched a "Feral Fix" program and would welcome support in promoting its cause. Resources can be accessed through the following site :

A Humane Solution

Feral cats are often unjustly portrayed as disease-ridden nuisances and are, consequently, removed from their communities and/or needlessly destroyed.

The TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) method , first implemented in Europe and the United Kingdom, is a comprehensive management plan in which entire feral colonies are humanely trapped, evaluated, vaccinated and neutered. Many are placed for adoption for adoption while the rest are returned to their familiar habitat where they are cared for and monitored within their own community . As a result, the populations are gradually reduced,  the "inconveniences" of howling and spraying are illiminated, and the threat of disease and malnutrition is virtually removed.

Therefore, please consider supporting the efforts of Alley Cat Allies and other organizations who are working to protect these misunderstood cats from tragedy and exploitation.

    Thank you.
