Two puppies brutally mutilated and killed in Spain! Stop the cruelty

On Oct 19th, two puppies about one month old have been found in a cardboard box near the central str. Antonio Ayuso Casco in Badajoz. They were closed in a plastic bag, still alive but horribly mutilated: ear, nose and tails. The extremities amputated remained in the box with
surgical gloves. The pups were immediately transferred to a 
Vet clinic that immediately informed the Association ADANA. One of the puppies had to be immediately put to sleep for the severity of injuries, the other died afterwards.
How is it possible to tollerate such horror? STOP CRUELTY!!
Ask the Spanish President to get active for once: the torturers must be caught, and punished severely! Zero tolerance, NO mercy!

El 19 de octubre, a las 14:30 horas, una vecina de la c%uFFFDntrica calle Antonio Ayuso Casco, antigua Margarita Nelken, encontr%uFFFD dentro de una caja de cart%uFFFDn, dos cachorros gravemente mutilados. Varios vecinos alertados por los gritos que proced%uFFFDan de la caja que se hallaba a la altura del n.8, se acercaron a comprobar lo que ocurr%uFFFDa. Una de las residentes abri%uFFFD la caja y comprob%uFFFD que dentro hab%uFFFDa una bolsa cerrada. Al abrirla vi%uFFFD que conten%uFFFDa dos cachorros, de 1 mes de edad aproximadamente y a%uFFFDn vivos, que hab%uFFFDan sufrido graves mutilaciones en orejas, hocico y rabos. Las extremidades amputadas permanec%uFFFDan en la caja junto a unos guantes quir%uFFFDrgicos. Los cachorros fueron trasladados urgentemente a una clinica veterinaria que inform%uFFFD inmediatamente a la Asociaci%uFFFDn Protectora ADANA. La vicepresidenta de Adana, Raquel Garcia Hierro, se person%uFFFD en la cl%uFFFDnica para comprobar la situaci%uFFFDn de los cachorros y recoger todas las pruebas para presentar la correspondiente denuncia en las dependencias de la polic%uFFFDa nacional que ya ha abierto una investigaci%uFFFDn. Uno de los cachorros, el marr%uFFFDn, tuvo que ser eutanasiado debido a la gravedad de las heridas. El segundo cachorro se encuentra en estado grave y se teme por su vida. Las heridas eran recientes por lo que se supone que hab%uFFFDan sido abandonados poco antes de que fueran descubiertos.

Da%uFFFDar de ese modo a seres indefensos es acto de extrema cobard%uFFFDa.

Por esta raz%uFFFDn, se%uFFFDor Presidente, nosotros, los firmantes le pedimos que intervenga:
. Para encontrar y castigar severamente a los responsables
. Para solicitar al gobierno una modificaci%uFFFDn del c%uFFFDdigo penal en materia de maltrato animal, consistente en calificar el abandono como delito equipar%uFFFDndolo al maltrato y a la muerte, as%uFFFD como un endurecimiento de las penas.
