THE COST OF ANIMAL SUFFERING/ABUSE SO YOU CAN ENJOY YOUR MORNING CUPPA

"We meet everyday needs for nutrition, hygiene and personal care with brands that help people feel good, look good and get more out of life"  and "160 million times a day, someone somewhere chooses a Unilever product." Source http://www.unilever.co.uk

All sounds great, what a wonderful image this company is projecting, responsible and caring, healthy and pro enviroment.. That is of course until you find out at what this  successful companies ethics truly are!

Whilst your enjoying your morning cuppa, you might like to know exactly what Unilever does for you to enjoy that tasty cup of bliss in your hands. Warning, after reading these facts, that tea might not taste quite so nice.

Rabbits fed a high-fat diet, giving them abnormally high cholesterol levels and hardened arteries. After the experiment, the rabbits' heads were cut off.

Mice are forced to suffer bowel inflammation After the experiment, the mice are killed by neck-breaking or suffocation.

Rats forced to eat a high-fructose diet, damaging their brains or their abdominal walls were punctured and were fed radioactively ingredients through a tube in their stomach. After experiment all animals killed.

Piglets torn away from their mothers exposed to E coli toxins to bring about cause diarrhoea. During experimenters the piglets  intestines were cut apart while the animals were still alive. The piglets were then killed.

None of these tests were conducted to meet legal requirements.None of these tests were needed. These cruel and vile experiments were carried out simply because it was the food giants Unilevers decision to test their "Healthy Teas" such as PG Tips and Lipton brands. If grocery giants such as The Co-op can test their similar products without using animals why cant Unilever?

By signing this petition you will be demanding that Unilever in relation to all their products IMMEDIATELY STOP TESTING ON ANIMALS.
We the undersigned strongly Unilever to cease the testing of its products/brands on animals immediately. It is senseless, cruel, inhumane and not a legal requirement by law, and certainly does not mirror the responsible enviromentally caring company you project.

Other grocery giants are able to produce similar products as unilevers without choosing to resort to animal testing, so the question has to be asked why such a high profile company who projects a caring repsonsible image resort to such vile techniques.

The use of animal testing for food products must stop, and we urge your company rather than projecting one image but initiating behind the scenes the complete opposite, to take the lead and show the food industry and your customers that you truly do care for the enviroment and all those that reside within it!
