Hillary Clinton supports Barack Obama - and we need to also!

PUMAs: Please Stand With Hillary To Help Obama Win

Target:
Hillary supporters who are considering voting for McCain
Sponsored by:
An open letter to all Hillary Clinton supporters who are considering voting for John McCain: please, please think again. We understand your frustration. But understand this: John McCain is no Hillary Clinton. Electing Barack Obama is the way to achieve Hillary's vision for America.

If you vote for John McCain, you can kiss your daughter's right to choose good-bye. If you vote for John McCain, be prepared to send your son to war. If you vote for John McCain, you will be voting against everything Hillary Clinton has worked for this entire election and her life.

Please, please, please PUMAs and undecided Hillary supporters - you may not like Barack Obama personally, but you do not have to like your candidate as a person. You have to like your candidate's policies. And if you supported Hillary, Barack Obama is the only candidate in this election who will stand for everything Hillary stands for - health care and education for all, reproductive freedom for women, a clean environment and a peaceful world. Hillary Clinton is standing with Obama this week in Denver - please join her!

We the undersigned respectfully urge you to stand with Hillary Clinton in supporting Barack Obama. We do not ask that you embrace Obama as you did Hillary - we simply ask that you recognize that Obama's platform will accomplish the same goals that Hillary supports, and together we can achieve the change that Hillary has fought for her entire life.

Hillary Clinton stands for reproductive rights for women, health care for all, quality education for our children, and a clean environment - and so does Barack Obama. But John McCain wants to overturn Roe v. Wade, remain in Iraq for an unspecified amount of time, and continue our same broken system of health care that benefits insurers and big corporations at the expense of individuals like you and me.

If you can accept this future, then you can vote for McCain. But if you value your rights and want the same future for your children that you knew Hillary would work hard to achieve, then please join Hillary and vote for Obama.

It is strange to me how much McCain looks JUST like Cheney and how Sarah Palin's name reminds me of the word Satan. Plus she is pure evil. Just look at her evil eyes. Eyes are the window to the soul.

You must vote for the best option and that is Obama and I LOVED his speech it was amazing and perfect to be exactly 45 years after King's amazing speech!

I voted for Hillary and will vote for Obama precisely because of all the things in the open letter above. I hope EVERYONE will look at the differences between Hillary/Obama and McCain, and see what a tragic mistake it would be for our country with McCain!

Following Hillary's lead, support Obama! We need a democrat in the White House to break the Bush hold on our country. Mc Cain would be more of the same. No Mc Cain NO HOW!

Support Obama in '08

John McCain has become a far right thinker and will continue to be a Bush doer. He is not a moderate, nor is he a maverick. He votes against everything near and dear to Democrats! No way John McCain!!

I believe in the precepts of the Democratic Party. Barack Obama will live those values. We will all be better because he is president. I did not vote for him in the primary, but I will in November. Join me in doing the same.

I am now supporting Barak Obama because I support the Democratic Party and the ideas and ideals for which Hillary stood and are important for the common American. I am tired of the Republican party getting rich on the backs of the working people in this country. John McCain says he is not another Bush, but, tell me why he keeps having fundraisers here in Arizona "behind closed doors" which feature George Bush?

I support Barack Obama because I want to see the war in Iraq come to an end very soon and also to see Universal Health Care for All as well as the improvement of the American people's morale and optimism.

Voting for John McCain is voting AGAINST your own best interests. Hillary ran an exceptional campaign but in the end there can be only one winner. This time it was Barack Obama. However, Hillary is STILL in the Senate and she is STILL fighting for your concerns alongside Barack Obama. Disregarding her pledge to support Obama's campaign against McCain for the Presidency does you no good whatsoever. McCain doesn't care about you beyond your vote in November. He will further gut the Constitutional protections that Bush has eroded so grievously, he will pack the Supreme Court with far right-wing justices that will erase years of hard fought protections for women and minorities, he will further bankrupt the coffers of the U.S. government to engage in endless war in the Middle East. He has SAID he will do this, and yet if you vote for him do you really think he will give a single thought to what you believe in or care about? Short answer, NO. My candidate did not win the nomination either, but I am whole-heartedly supporting Obama, even if my core issues and his do not exactly align because he comes so much closer to the ideals I believe in and want to see America return to again. That should be a concern of yours as well. Hillary supports Barack Obama, why can't you? John McCain does not speak for you, does not care about your concerns, and does not care if you know it...he just wants to pick you apart from the Democratic Party and ensure his own victory in November. A victory that America cannot afford.

Hillary and Obama had clear differences in their approaches on key issues. However, they are allied on the values that we share as Democrats. In order to end the conflict in Iraq as soon as possible, to provide care to those in our society who desperately need it, to protect the environment for everyone on this planet today and in the future, we must support Obama for President.

I really can't believe that Democrats wouldn't stay true to the party and vote for Obama who's policies are pretty much the same as Clinton's. It smells like racism to me.

Please, please take a breath and think about the real impact a vote for McCain will have not only on you and all women, but our country and the whole world. McCain can (and has already started promising his supporters that he will) undo much of what Hillary has spent her life and career working to secure by appointing conservative Justices and continuing to award tax breaks to the most wealthy among us. A vote for McCain punishes nobody but yourself and people like me. PLEASE join Hillary in trying to right the ship that GW and McCain have so gravely sent sailing into dangerous waters.

I voted for Hillary in the primaries and was very passionate about her receiving the nomination. That being said, I've spent a lot of time considering my options, I must say that I would consider not voting at all before I would consider voting for McCain. A vote for McCain is a vote for war, a vote for a continued poor economy, a vote for, dare I say it, George Bush. Our country needs a change, and although I am a huge Hillary supporter, I am now also an Obama supporter. I am going to focus all my energy on making sure he is elected this November. If McCain wins this election our country is going to experience more of the same, it will continue to be damaged, we need to fight for the change that Obama can provide. Please join me in supporing Obama and Biden.

I really don't understand why a supporter of Hilary would not support Obama. I'm sure it is a tuff pill to swallow, but we have to set aside our personal feelings! Think about your children's future, your future, the rights of women! John McCain IS out of touch with poor and middle class American's. John McCain DOES NOT support the issues that are most important to women, like equal pay for women, a right to choose.

I support Senator Obama because I TRUST he will seek to change America for the greater good of all people! He has the integrity, and has proved his know how on restoring and improving the livelyhood of so many people, by being a community organizer in the poorest neighborhoods in Chicago. Senator Obama didn't have to do this, he could have easily taken a six figure income job at some high profile law firm, but he didn't. Doesn't this say a lot about Barack! He doesn't owe anybody anything, but he felt compelled to help others, who didn't have the know how to do it themselves!

They stand for the same things. Don't annex yours and your children's future because your feelings are hurt. As a hillary supporter can you honestly say McCain will do anything different than bush. His recent commercials prove he's just using you. He says nothing about the issues.

Please vote Obama, and make sure your voice is heard in a government that has been ignoring our wants for their own political gain.

Anyone who supported Hillary and doesn't want to vote for Barack is someone who doesn't understand the issues at all and should just stay home on election day. If you're too stupid to understand the difference between Democrats and Republicans at this critical time, you don't deserve the right to vote. Threatening to vote for McCain just proves you're a moron and does nothing to help Hillary either.

I loved Bill Clinton and I was/am sure Hillary would do a great job as President but I believe Barack is just as capable. I think she made critical mistakes in her campaign and I ended up being turned off by her. I also think it's time this Country got away from the two "royal" families so to speak. This country doesn't need a Dynasty, it needs good government.

Please do not allow our country to falter and regress any further. John McCain is by NO means an agent of progress. Don't allow all that Hillary Clinton has worked for fall by the wayside by crushing her ideologies in voting against the candidate that supports those same ideologies. I implore you.

McCain's staff is the same Rove/Cheney Republicans that we have now. His economic policies are intellectually challenged. The nurse they got to denounce Hillary thinks that "McCain would never overturn Roe v. Wade" when, in fact, his own website says it should be overturned. REM that these are the same people who managed Katrina, they can't even get their ads straight. Come on gang, your vote still means as much as it did when you supported Clinton.

John McCain is no champion of Hillary Clinton's vision for America. ANY Democrat in the field would be better to accomplish what you and Hillary set out to do at the beginning of the primary season. A vote for McCain is a reaction and not a SMART CHOICE. Ask yourself two things when November rolls around...1)What will PRO-LIFE John McCain do to the Supreme Court if elected President? 2)After the last 8 years, does ANYONE with an (R) next to their name deserve to be in government? Think about that.

I support Barack Obama because the more I learn about him, the more I see that he truly represents the American dream and its complicated reality. No politician is perfect. But some inspire and call on us to be better. Barack does that for me. I hope you will vote your Democratic ideals this November and trust that Barack will work hard for you.

I support your right to be angry and your right to choose....McCain on the other hand does not. Support your party and have faith in us. I am a new mother of a 6 month old baby boy, and I know I want him to inherit a world that is full of freedom and hope, not of war against our world partners and war against our women. I support you and I hear your pain and anger, but voting for McCain will make the world a less safe place to be in. For the sake of my baby and all the other babies in this world, I say "Stand behind Obama/Biden 08!"

We must vote for change and support Barak Obama. Hillary Clinton is supporting Obama and Americans need to think about our Country. We cannot have more of Bush. We need to save America for our children and grandchildren. Vote for Obama. Be safe and vote Democratic.

I have always supported Obama, but would have voted for Clinton if she won the primary. Hillary supporters need to do the same and support the candidate that can save America.

Hillary supporters - please don't exercise your disappointment by cutting off your nose to spite your face!!! Voting for McCain is like turning your own ideals inside out and upside down - it has no consistency or logic with your support for Hillary Clinton whatsoever. Barack and Hillary share the same ideals and goals for this country and our future. McCain and his party have a far different and darker agenda, and darker means by which to achieve it. Please don't be short sighted and do something out of spite that you (and the rest of us) will regret for the next 4 if not the next 8 years.

To support Sen. Clinton so passionately and then to step away from every ideal and every belief and every hope she has for this country and vote for John McCain would be the ultimate BETRAYAL. When you look at how closely Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama match each other on every issue, and then when you look at how John McCain's stances are the exact opposite to those same stances, why would you want to vote for John McCain? Do you really want "100 more years in Iraq?" Do you really believe the wealthiest 1% of this country don't have enough money. Do you really believe the bottom 50% of this country have too much money? Do you believe that privatizing our insurance is the way to attain universal coverage for all Americans? Do you really believe that Gays and Lesbians should not be allowed to adopt the hundreds of thousands (no exaggeration) of babies and children who need homes worldwide? Do you really want more wars like McCain predicts there will be if he is elected? Good lord, why would you want to vote for John McCain? Why would ANYONE want to vote for John McCain. I'm not being facetious here. Why would ANYONE want to vote for John McCain?

I urge you to make the right choice and join Hillary Clinton in supporting Obama's bid for the white house. What nobody in the country needs is four more years of Republican George Bush politics. Don't let frustration over having your first choice lose lead you down a path you will be sorry about later. I understand that frustration as I have seen my candidate (the democratic candidate) lose the last two elections. And that was a lot more disappointing than it would have been to have Obama lose the primary. John McCain is hoping and praying that bitterness and bad feeling from the primary push Clinton supporters his way. It is in fact the only chance he has to win this election. America is ready for change. Help us make it.

I am in fact an Obama supporter, but first and foremost I would have voted for the right candidate in the general election. Had Mrs. Clinton won the primary she would have been the right candidate WITHOUT HESITATION. Simple as that. So is Barack Obama. Obama earned the nomination and either he or John McCain will be president. You have seen what eight years of a Republican white house has done to our country, our standing in the world, our security our economy. We are more due for change than anyone of us could have imagined when we were disappointed to see Bush win a second term (or a first for that matter). I can't count the number of Republicans I know — who let Bush use terror and fear to convince them to put him in office for a second term — who are sorry now. They know they made a huge mistake. Don't make another. Put the right candidate in office.

Americans cannot afford another four years of Republicans in the White House.

People who think that voting for John McCain is the next best choice after voting for Hillary Clinton need to have their heads examined. Please don't punish America for four more years just because you didn't get your first choice this time around!
