Urge Monterey County Supervisor Dave Potter to Help Circus Animals!

Circus animals are suffering terribly and need your help! Please go to www.circuses.com and watch Training & Tragedy and go to youtube and search "Stop Circus Suffering" and watch the ADI documentary to see what these animal's lives are really like. Supervisor Dave Potter:   As supervisor for the most liberal district in one of the most liberal counties, in one of the most liberal states, in a Democratic country and as a California Coastal Commissioner, your Sierra Club rating could sure  use a boost and I have just the project for you! It is just the sort of thing almost every one of your district constituents would expect you to support and in fact has strong support there.  The Tyke Exotic Animal Ordinance for Monterey County assures that traveling exotic animal displays, such as circuses, are not gross violators of the Animal Welfare Act.  This would help assure that you are not allowing Endangered Species Act (ESA) violations of captive Endangered Species, such as Asian and African Elephants, Tigers, Rhinos and many Primates, to happen on your watch in District 5 of Monterey County, California.
This would be a permitting process that would pay for itself with permitting fees and fines levied against violators.  You have the richest district, in one of the richest counties, in one of the richest states, in the richest country in the world.  Surely you will not cry poor when it comes to doing your part to protect these majestic animals from neglect and abuse.
Please don't make us tell an abandoned and heartbroken Endangered Species Act to go out and get a copy of "He's Just Not That into You"....
I care about the world famous Monterey County, with it's beautiful Big Sur Coast, Monterey Marine Sanctuary and Cannery Row, and I have or plan to visit there, bringing my tourist dollars with me and/or I live here in Monterey County.
Show me with your actions, Supervisor Potter, that Monterey County beauty isn't just skin deep.  I want to urge you to stop Politicin' and get out and start Representin'!  Please publicly support and Vote Yes on the Tyke Exotic Animal Ordinance for Monterey County!
I LIVE IN MONTEREY COUNTY AND/OR HAVE OR WILL VISIT MONTEREY COUNTY AND THE SALINAS VALLEY AND/OR WILL BUY FOOD PRODUCTS FROM THE SALINAS VALLEY AND BILLIONS OF TOURIST AND CONSUMER DOLLARS FLOW INTO YOUR COUNTY BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE ME-I AM A STAUNCH ANIMAL LOVER AND ESA SUPPORTER.  I also want to ask all of the Monterey County Supervisors to do the right thing, put aside campaign contributions, big business and special interests connections and get this important matter taken care of and protect these suffering, helpless animals in your county NOW!
