FOLLOWING ARE MY RECOMMENDATIONS TO STOP ELDER ABUSE. PROTECTING OUR SENIORS IN OHIO & AROUND THE COUNTRY.
If you want to WAKE UP Ohio Citizens and the American Public about ELDER ABUSE, let them SEE with their own eyes the unnecessary physical injury, pain, mental anguish, violation of rights, financial loss and dying prematurely our ELDERS have endured for years because predators of the Elderly, saw flaws in the Legal System and used it to their advantage to rob, control and even murder our older Americans. Now with the Baby Boomers coming of age to retire, more Predators will be on the hunt for their innocent victims. The time has come for the curtain to be pulled back for the AMERICAN PEOPLE, to See the reality of Our Future. Until one lives through this pain of unending agony, there is no possible way of understanding the crisis America has at it's front door. Our State Leaders must Now acknowledge the over-whelming evidence of Elder Abuse in Ohio as well as the Country. No matter what your income or status, you will Not be Unscathed from the dangers that lie ahead waiting for you in your old age. To put an end to this insanity, Each STATE must Now Expedite New Laws and Regulations as if a building was on fire and infants and small children were inside the burning building. Our Older Americans have waited far too long for valiant, courageous men and women in Authority to STOP the Negligence and Abuse of our Older Americans.
CONTACT YOUR STATE ELDER ABUSE COMMISSION, YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVES, EMAIL, POST YOUR COMMENTS ON GOVERNMENT WEB SITES FOR CONGRESS TO EXPEDITE NEW LAWS AND REFORMS BEFORE THIS CRISIS IS TOO OVERWHELMING TO CONTROL.
DO NOT STOP UNTIL THE ELDER ABUSE CRISIS HAS BEEN RESOLVED OR WE WILL BECOME THE NEXT VICTIMS OF ELDER ABUSE!
JANE BRANSON'S RECOMMENDATIONS TO STOP ELDER ABUSE.
1. The Elder Abuse Commission should collaborate with the National Association Against Guardian Abuse. They have researched their information and have numerous stories from people from all walks of Life in the United states, that have experienced horrific Elder Abuse crimes. The stories would show where new laws and regulations need to be implemented. The stories should be shared with Ohioans and the American Public to make them aware Elder Abuse is happening in every State of our Country.

Prohibit and tax appear to be the current wave of the Federal government. Enough already; remove all prohibitions against on-line tobacco sales.

These are the things that are un constitutional for our government to medle in. It's high time the people stand up and be heard. There are those things that they can and can't rule over. WE THE PEOPLE!!!

In purchasing my pipe tobacco via online services saves untold amounts of gasolne as there are not an enourmous amount of brick and mortar stores that sell pipe tobacco. It is a limited and extremely hard commodity to find in stores. By shopping online my order arives on my front porch delivered by the truck that appears on my street each and every day of the week.

I'm starting to think we no longer have a democracy in this country and we're being treated more and more like citizens in a socialist nation. Once again, our government feels that smokers should be penalized and that our group should pay but more in taxes to them then we already do. The government needs to stop spending money it does not have! Should this bill pass I will start growing my own!

The government is trying to run our whole lives and I for one do not need any more regulations. As a disabled American with not a whloe lot of pleasure left in my life, they want to take away the lst thing I can enjoy, a pipe full of rich aromatic tobacco while I relax at the end of the day. Please leave well enough alone. You are getting your taxes anyway. Stop the regulatory madness.

Prohibition of online tobacco sales would hurt if not kill a lot of businesses who rely in whole or in part by such sales. How is this an appropriate time for such a measure with the economic crisis going on? Millions of people smoke, millions of dollars change hands from tobacco sales, the president gives billions of dollars nationwide in hopes people will take that money and buy things, thus stimulating the economy, yet here is a proposition to cease such a large number of people already spending money. A propostion to remove more revenue from the already fragile economy. How could this be considered a "good idea"?

I think this is absurd to curtail ordering tobacco products online. I am a senior citizen and it would cost me very much in gasoline to drive to a store that sells my pipe supplies. The one I used many years ago stopped local shipping and they sure charged enough for that shipping, more than the online service I use now. I don't see any benefit in this petition. A customer can still call on the phone for the same service of ordering tobacco products, so what is the gain? It would only take a few minutes more with a phone call to place an order. We have enough of government regulations, so the government should stop wasting our money with this silly, immature petition.

They tried something like this before and it was called Prohibition...didn't work. I cannot see anything wrong with ordering tobacco online as there are communities that are rural and don't have the convience of different stores to go to as in the big cities.

I'm so tired of our government right now. It's time that everyone in our government be kicked out and we start over! This country needs jobs right now and yet here's our government doing everything they can to close business's and cause more jobs to be taken away. What's happened to good old common sense? We were all led down the road of keeping our under age children from smoking. Now the government is trying to force us to quit by putting excessive taxes on tobacco. Yet they say their using these taxes for medical care for kids. What happens if everyone in this country quits? Where is the funding going to come from then? This is just one example of my disgust! I'm disabled and I use the internet to shop a lot, since I'm not able to get out and drive to get everything I need. It's time for this country to have another Boston Tea Party!!!

Well, so much for what Honest Abe said! It would appear that the government as we knew it, has "perished from the earth". This is nothing more than some fat cat getting a kick back from some lobbyist group. This is not how I've asked to be represented. Thomas Jefferson thought the government should be purged every 20 years. We are about 200 years past that.

Here we go again yet another way for our failing government to control us. We as a free people need to put a stop to this insanity. If we get pushed to far, we will push back and the government is getting real close to getting pushed on to their respective backsides.

Instead of endlessly legislating ways to spend our money and impinge upon our rights (this bill is an excellent example), our Congress and the administration had better start focusing on fiscal austerity - soon!

Taxes, taxes, and more taxes. This is the mantra of the Democrats (learned from the communist party). Control EVERYTHING and nothing less because the people are too stupid to know what is good for them. ENOUGH is ENOUGH!!! The revolutionary war came to fruition because of taxation on a whim. We NEED to vote the bastards out and get REAL representation from public SERVANTS and NOT PROFESSIONAL POLITICIANS!!

Must I remind you that the seniors were fighting for our country before the younger ones were, and guiding our country, and doing their part in making it a better place for their children! Just remember this and one more thing...someday your loved ones will get old,and so will you, then where will they or even you be?
