Video Cameras in Slaughterhouses

Target:
animal welfare - food safety

In the wake of the HSUS Chino slaughterhouse investigation, several members of Congress are now calling for video cameras to be installed at slaughterhouses.

Please urge your representatives that you support this legislation for the benefit of the animals and food safety.
In the wake of the HSUS Chino slaughterhouse investigation, several members of Congress are now calling for video cameras to be installed at slaughterhouses.

Please urge your representatives that you support this legislation for the benefit of the animals and food safety.
We the undersigned urge Congress to implement the installation of more inspectors and video monitoring in slaughterhouse facilities throughout the U.S.

Downer cows have been an issue with the USDA, consumers and animal welfare interests for quite some time.  Installing these cameras will further insure that rules and laws already in place will be upheld.

Thank you.

This is a good _first_ step. Next, organize some slaughterhouse tours so people can really see how an animal becomes a chunk of meat ready to be cooked.

Stop treating animals as commodities! They deserve a peaceful life just like humans (who are animals). This would be a good step in the right direction. People need to see what really goes into the meat/dairy they eat.
