I am a single mom of 7 ,,I work hard to make as much money as I can ,,I LOVED the fact that wal-mart had a lay a way because shopping for 7 kids is not easy and coming up with loads of money to buy gifts out right is not easy either ,,,walmart layaways made everything so much easier and I was really mad when they took it way ,,now its more difficult for christmas and bdays

Christmas and birthdays haven't been the same since walmart has taken away the layaway. I don't like K-Marts layaway plans and don't have good credit so can't get a credit card plus I live on a fixed income.

I also used to use the lay-away plan and was upset when I found that they ended it. I always used to put electronics on lay-away cause I couldnt afford to purchase it out right. Who could afford to buy 400$ plus dollar items out right.

I'm a mom to 17 month old triplets and a five year old. Talk about instant family overnight. You have always been competitive with toys r us, and I have always gone with you over them, but now suddenly with four young children, I need layaway back. I can't very well buy for one of my kids and not the other. I've purchased all my toys (which is a lot) at kmart this holiday season. Your selection is better than kmart's but their layaway plan wins out. Please bring back your plan.

Having layaway is very help full for those people with very little income every month also to help get those big price items that are kids would love to have but dont have the full amount at one time. I miss the layaway now that they took it away. thanks Elisha Willbur

I think it would be good for the economy and for Walmart to offer their layaway for the holiday season this year. I now have to go out of town to do my shopping. This is taking money from my own town and putting into the pockets of another town. This is not right. PLEASE BRING BACK THE LAYAWAY JUST FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON. I really enjoyed the walmart layaway, and being a single mother who has much finacial difficulty I feel that the walmart layaway was one of the best I have been inclined to use. It is not easy trying to buy things straight out when one is on a budget, and I am sure many people agree it is now harder than ever to get the things that are needed for the kids let alone what they want by paying straight out for it with the economi in such a crisis. PLEASE CONSIDER BRINGING BACK THE LAYAWAY IF ONLY THROUGH THE CHRISTMAS SEASON.

I believe that Walmart should have a Layaway plan for everyone like they used to...Not only is it good for business it also helps out hard working families that dont have credit. During our poor economic times we need some type of plan to help the families give there children a christmas.Not everyone can afford to go & just buy but when there is a Layaway plan it helps those who can only afford a little bit out of each check to purchase & nobody loses out with a layaway plan like a credito would if you dont pay. The Merchandise gets returned to the floor & the customer loses a percentage of what they have paid. So it isnt like the Merchant doesnt make out !! Please sign this petetion & pass it to every family..It may not help us in time for this christmas but if america speaks out it could help out mamny other families in need with a future date. Layaway plans are good for everyone not just seasonal.. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD WALMART WAY !!!!

It would be great to bring back Walmart's layaway at Christmas time because there are so many families that benefit from it as well as the revenue that Walmart receives. It's an awesome advertising tool as well as helpful to working families that get paid bi weekly and have to juggle paying their bills as well as buying their children Christmas presents.

I have always used Wal-Mart to put Christmas, and sometimes birthday, items on layaway for my family. I currently have 17 children to buy for...10 kids, 4 significant others and 3 grandbabies. This count does not include any exteded family. I now drive out of town to put Christmas on layaway at K-Mart and other stores. I am sure this program is a pain for your employees, but it is a great way for consumers to select items early and pay them out. I do not use credit cards, so that is not an option for me. Please consider bringing Layaway back.I think it would be appreciated by many.

I have moved to Kmart and Sears for their layaways. Kmart is even starting an online layaway program. You all should be ashamed for removing the only system that I and others had available to purchase Christmas gifts for our children!!
