The deaths of these children - and what government agencies did or didn't do to save their lives - Even when they die, their stories are rarely told. May the spirits of those lost rest in peace and may we never forget or ignore what happened to them.

I just returned from observing and presenting information in the investigation into the suicide of 7 year old Gabriel Myers who died in foster care in the state of Florida. The suicide was medication-induced via drugs never approved for a child his age. CPS needs review for their own use of drugs (mind altering meds) and the massive drugging of all of these poor children in their care. I think it is long past time to trust God to know what He is doing when He places a child rather than believe we have better judgement than He does in this area!

I have been through having the threat of having my child taken from me when an accident had occurred. After having six children w/ no incidents in 13 years and a pediatrician who was willing to vouch for me--but who was never contacted, I am very interested in seeing reform in the system. Too many children are abused and allowed to return to those circumstances and yet, innocent families are traumatized by accusations.

we are foster-adopt parents for cps in texas. we understand and see the need to have the agencies over hauled.we know as a foster famly we have so many trained that we have to take to keep our home open,yet the workers don't...heck most of them can't put a carseat in a car the right way or have the child facing the right way.we are birth parents of three children and we adopted a mico-preemie last year and if something or someone hurt one of them it would be a fight! we have seen birth families that shouldn't have they're children but they do because that know how to get around it....these are some more of the childrren that fall in the cracks never to be pulled out do to they're parents standing in the way.if a family is being checked out than do that check them out and come at all different times and see how things are!R.I.P.-TO THE CHILDREN WHO NEVER GOT TO GROW UP AND FILL THEY;RE DREAMS!

my great granddaughters mother was abused as a child.in ill.. and this resulted with my grandsons death , also her 2 month old son. death at her hands. we had her first child with us for 5 months. child welfare gave the child back to her and. nothing but tradegy has been happening. this young 19 yr old has a history of mental problem. Child welfare need to regroup and change this system. it stinks. .

I have just started college and what I am going for is Human Services. Too much is wrong with the system and too many people sit around and let it happen. I am doing everything in my power to help everything that fails children all over. It will be a few years before I graduate, but I plan on changing all of this. The way these programs are ran is sicking and pitiful. I have been on the bad side of these programs and the people that run them have no idea what is really going on. I know I will change it, for every child.

my children are sliping thro the net as i as the mum and the father i belive as done some thing to one of my children and it is is word agast one of my childrens. and now the courts want him to have visiting rights for a long week end once a month. why do socal servces give in i want to see a change. and when some thing does hapen the abuses go to jail and the ones that alowed it by order get away with it. it is plainly not right. it is so clear. alowing abused children that are realy at risk of some one and they end up dead to put it blunt or carry it on in to adult lifes that causes problems for the victems to. please change it before another child gets killed or slips tho the net.

I never knew the meaning of unconditional love until I became a mother!! I was blessed to have four beautiful, amazing, happy children of my own... I worshiped every second of their existance! Never could I imagine what was instore for them! To be taken from the only family you know, the ones who are to protect you from harm, sadness and all the evils of this cruel world... What then?? I have lost my own self since Demetria, Dadreyona, Adrien and Adonas Benvie were taken, now how am I supposed to believe they are okay?? I can only hope that one day very soon I will be in the right place at the right time for us to meet again, before anymore hurt comes to them!!! |

CPS social services should go more into depth with their cases, rather than pulling a child out of their home, and ripping their life apart, taking them away from their home, family, and siblings, just like they did mine. This needs to be taken seriously, my siblings and i were some of the lucky ones who resorted to family and friends rather than foster families who could have become abusive. My mother didnt neglect us, or abuse us, CPS did. They have abused our whole life in just one day. God bless the children who died because CPS took them away from their families without the proper research, just their selfish thoughts of making money.

This needs to be taken seriously, my siblings and i were some of the lucky ones who resorted to family and friends rather than foster families who could have become abusive. My mother didnt neglect us, or abuse us, CPS did. They have abused our whole life in just one day. God bless the children who died because CPS took them away from their families without the proper research, just their selfish thoughts of making money.

we owe these children so much they did not ask to be here and it's our duty to protect these innocent children who were born unto horrible sadistic people. I feel these case workers need more college training or a heart that is really in concern of children. I understand the case loads can be overwhelming but these case workers in every case where these children die make such inexcusable mistakes that it really boils down to they just don't care. I feel that these case workers are just as cold hearted as the hands that the children die of. America please help don't just sit back and say what a shame "poor little kid" let's get involved and say no more we will not allow another child to be tortured or beaten. God bless the little children of the world.

All I know is that she was sick so her foster mom stuffed her in something. Her brother was the one who found her. He wouldn't talk for a long time after that. My sister was 3 years old when she was murdered by her foster mother back in 67. That was 3 years before I was born! She was removed from home because my mother was mentally unstable and abusive. Dont you think the state needs to look further into homes then that are to protect our children??? My 10yr old son was beaten by his dad with a belt buckle in excess of 20 times on the day Barack Obama got sworn into office, reason his teacher called home to complain about his behavior in class, not the 1st beating with a belt. ACS went to his dad's criminal court hearing and petitioned for the judge to modify the stay away order of protection allowing them to have my son returned the abusers home. Case still in criminal court. ACS in my opinion is a failed system and a waste of taxpayers money.
