HELP SUPPORT A NEW STORE ON GARRISON'S LANDING
This Saturday, June 14th, members of Garrison Station Plaza will meet to determine what will become of the building formerly known as Guinan's Pub & Country Store.
Many local residents feel very strongly that Philipstown needs a new store or similar public gathering spot on Garrison's Landing to serve the morning commuters, Garrison Art Center patrons, boaters, tourists, cadets, Landing businesses and citizens of this town.
Since the closing of Guinan's, the community spirit that prevailed on Garrison's Landing has dwindled dramatically.
While several members of the Station Plaza board strongly support this idea, we understand the group is seriously considering converting the building into all offices and/or apartments or another configuration that might not serve the general public.
This would deprive the town of a much-needed resource in a critical location.
Please sign the petition or email savegarrisonslandingstore@yahoo.com,
or call 845.424.2473. Your suggestions and ideas are welcome and encouraged.
It's your town. Your voice matters. Please join in supporting a strong community.
