"What More Can I Give" - Make Michael's Dream Come True

"I want the whole world to sing (What More Can I Give), to bring us together as a world, because a song is a mantra, something you repeat over and over. And we need peace, we need giving, we need love, we need unity."
-Michael Jackson

Let's make Michael's dream come true. Let's see this song released with the proceeds from it going to charity !

History of the Song

Michael Jackson wrote the song What More Can I Give as a charity single.
It was originally inspired by Nelson Mandela and planned to premiere at the concert "Michael and Friend - What More Can I Give" in June 1999, staged in Seoul, South Korea and Munich, Germany.

After the 9/11 terrorist attacks in America, Michael re-wrote the song and recorded it as a charity single with a host of stars, including Beyonce, Mriah Carey, Celine Dion, Carlos Santana, Luther Vandross, Tom Perry and Luis Miguel.

Completed on 19th October 2001, the song premiered two days later at the "United We Stand - What More Can I Give" concert at Washington DC's RFK Stadium.

Promo short film premiered at the Radio Music Awards in 2003.

Spanish language version, titled Todo Para Ti was also recorded featuring contributions from Michael, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Julio Iglesias, Ricky Martin and Jon Secada.

The song remained unreleased after disagreements between Michael, Sony Music and Marc Schaffel. However, 200 promo copies were distributed to the artists and music industry representatives involved in the project.

Made available as a downloadable single in October 2003 with no other official release.

For lack of a better source of the song, I'm adding a link to the YouTube upload:
